~*~----Territory and Habits----~*~

MossClan cats are known for three things, stealth, tree climbing and their dry sense of humor.(Sarcastic and deadpan.) Their stealth is used mainly in hunting for the mossy carpet of their home often hides sticks or other things that may crunch under paw. The live in and under the trees so learning to climb is very important to them. All MossClan cats are sarcastic or deadpan(or both) in varying degrees.

MossClan territory is made up mostly of Big Leaf Maple and Sitka Spruces. The territory is covered nearly completely in in green and brown moss which makes moving through the territory a springy experience. The moss has even climbed up the trees making the entire territory muffled and hard for other clans to hunt in.

Their camp is located at the center of their territory. It is the only oak tree in their territory(it's white oak) it stands over 40 meters tall and it's branches twist into the sky. Old badger dens under the oak's roots have been converted into a nursery, and an elders den. Sitting in a crevice near the bottom of the tree is the medicine cats den. The Apprentice's den is on the lowest branches, situated just above on the next branch is the warriors den, both are woven from bent branches and five-leafed ivy. The leaders den is inside an old owl hole and the entrance is obscured from view by moss.

~*~----Things of Note----~*~

- Rockypath and Smokewhisper are Snowtail's brother and sister respectively, though Rockypath is the only survivor of an older litter.
- MossClan prides it's self on a long line of successful female leaders, Rockypath's appointment as deputy shocked the Clan.
- Lunarfall discovered a special kind of moss that cleans a wound better the normal, she calls it lightmoss and hasn't told the other Medicine-cats about it under orders from Sagestar.
- Dawnstalker and Eclipseheart are cousins. (it happens with cats)
- Crowstare's name is known in all the Clans, it's said he could make a fox turn and run with one look.
- Redfeet his sister Trillerfeather and his mother Swanfur have the most white on them of all MossClan cats.
- Trillerfeather loves to sing and entertains apprentices at gatherings.
- The argument that got Snowtail banished was about a vole. (Don't ask, Snowtail and Sagestar will both kick your tail.)
- Sagestar only recently became leader. She has only lost one life, she is 4 years old(48 moons)
- Out of all the clans MossClan is the truest to their feline nature, being mostly nocturnal.
- MossClan are the only Clan to practice group night hunting and fighting.
- In the past they were notorious for sneaking into other Clan territories at night and stealing prey.(They only recently stopped this practice.)
- Cats of this clan are taught a move called the 'Shadow Hop' from the age of 3 moons, it is mostly used for daytime hunting and escaping predators but is also useful for tailing enemies.
- MossClan cats cover their fur with moss before ambushes and attacks, it helps hide their scent and blend into the forest.
- Falconflight comes from the Alleys, he introduced the Shadow Hop to the clan
- Brightstripe is the only MossClan cat who will laugh out loud at gatherings.
