Cold Blades of Truth (A Percy Jackson RP)

"Yup. Trapped. Suffocated by a blanket of ever-lasting darkness and foreboding. That's exactly what this god damn place feels like," Katniss said, her voice flat.

Priscilla sighed. "This really sucks. I wanna fight something."

The snow abruptly stopped. And the demi-gods emerged into a wide circular room, filled with light. The walls were made of, of course, dirt. It was a natural made clearing underground. And the light came from the sun itself. The ceiling of the room was made of solid ice, several hundred feet deep. Light came from the sun and filtered through to this cavern. The light reflected off of the ice in a dozen different ways and cast a rainbow of colors all over the cavern. And the largest icicles the world had ever seen came down from the ceiling, larger then stalactites and more deadly, as well. Though even the tip of the largest icicle was still 20 feet from the ground. In other times the demi-gods would surely have been taken aback in awe of the beauty of the scene.

But instead their attention was focused on the curled-up ice dragon sleeping atop a pile of treasure, in the center of the room. The dragon was serene and elegant, breathing loudly and clearly. The sound of it's breath could be heard from even where the demi-gods stood, almost 60 feet away.

The dragon had scales of a light blue color, with lighter scales on its underside. It had horns of a darker blue and a thin snout. It was about 40 feet from nose to the tip of it's tail. Obviously still a young wyrm, to anyone who was practice din dragon lore. But it presented more then a threat to the demi-gods should it wake up.

At the moment it was sleeping peacefully on top of the pile of treasure. The treasure was frozen in a solid block of ice, but still the gleam of metallic things and precious gems could be noted by a keen-eyed demi-god.

Jaxal nearly shit himself with surprise and terror. A dragon?! A fucking Ice Dragon!? Thanks Athena! send us to our deathbeds, why don't ya. He gripped Lume and glanced back at Shuda and Hura, a terrified, yet quizzical look on his face.

Priscilla stood, shocked. "Whoa." She clutched her necklace even tighter. "I have an idea, lets kill it and take the treasure." she said, wide eyed.

"I-" Katniss was cut off as she entered the beautiful cavern. Her eyes immediatly darted to the curled-up dragon that lay on the frozen treasure. "Holy shit," She mumbled in awe, her eyes taking in all of it at once. It was too much...TOO MUCH! Katniss's brian exploded. "You see it, too, right?" She whispered to Jaxel, not even hearing Priscilla.

Barely a millisecond after Priscilla's words the dragons shifted, and awoke from it's long slumber. It paused, groggy and sniffed the air, then slowly, its large head turned to face the demi-gods. It's eyes narrowed and the dragon hissed. Demi-gods. You dare invade the home of Izarcus, the third of her name! the dragon spoke directly into the demi-gods mind, and it's voice was angry, and fully awake. I will kill you as I killed countless other demi-gods. Foolish children who mean to steal my moth-MY treasure!

When the dragon's eyes opened Katniss nearly shizzed her pants. "Holy shit!" She said, a terrified look plastered on her face. Nothing better than damn dragons. She quickly regained herself, and drew Rising Sun. The beautiful sword reflected all the colors that danced around the room. She definatly knew she wasn't seeing things now.

Priscilla chuckled nervously, yanking off Shortstop. "No, no. Getting killed is my least favorite thing to do."

"Yeah, I'm not too fond of death either," Katniss said nervousely. Icy fear laced itself through her veins.

Jaxal sheathed Luma and drew his twelve poison tipped throwing daggers ready to intoxicate that icy bastard of a beast. He hesitated however, part of him not wanting to attack the peaceful creature.

The piercing coldness of the room made Katniss's bones feel like ice, and her blood seemed to freeze. "Got a plan?" She whispered, hoping the dragon didn't hear her.

"Fight." Haru managed to utter before the dragon cut him off.

Too bad. The dragon hissed, and opened it's maw, a freezing harsh wind blew out of the dragon's maw, only visible as white air, it would freeze a person on contact.

Shuda ducked and rolled to the side, dodging the frigid blast, while drawing his war axe out of it's sheath.

Katniss held up Rising Sun, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. She stepped slightly to the left, oppostie of Shuda.

The air went right over Priscilla. "Well, my shortness is good for one thing." She spun Shortstop around like she usually did.

Jaxal ran at the dragon, three violet tipped dragon scale daggers held between his fingers. He leaped onto a small pile of treasures, flinging the daggers against the dragon's left cheek before he began to sink into the objects. Two of the daggers collided with the dragon's scales and fell to the ground with a sharp, ear piercingly loud clatter, but the last had caught between a layer of the ice dragon's blue scales, burying itself into the creature's flesh.

Katniss chose now. As Jaxel's dagger hit the dragon she used the minore distraction to run at it, leap up, and attempt a stab at the dragon's icy back. Her sword colided with the scales and barely dented them. She would have to find a weaker spot.

Priscilla lunged at the beast's head, quickly swiping her sword. Large, blinding sparks shot off of the blade and into one of the creature's eyes.

Eyes. Katniss jumped down from the dragon's spine and leaped towards its head, drining her sword deep into its left eye. She pulled it out quickly and darted away before she could be injured.

The dragon roared with rage and lashed out with it's tail, she caught Katniss with a spike of it. And with one eye tight shut in pain, it turned to face Priscilla, it opened it's maw and a blast of freezing wind caught Priscilla full in the face. Freezing the daughter of Zeus.

Haru had retreated up the tunnel when the dragon had blasted the first wind of air, now he slowly returned and watched the battle.

Shuda charged towards the dragon, with his war axe clenched tightly in both hands.

Priscilla mumbled. "Aw fuck, no fair."

"Ah holy shit!" Katniss yelled out in pain, wrenching herself free of the dragon's tail. It had caught her shoulder, which was now bleeding heavily. I'll make it, She decided, and suddenly saw a chink in the beast's armor. She lunged for a certain spot on its right flank, Rising Sun shining brightly.

Jaxal struggled to pull himself out of the treasure, coughing up a couple glass beads that had lodged in his throat. Grabbing out two more daggers, he flung them at the dragon's muzzle, the silvery black scales soaring faster than any eyes could catch until they stopped, slicing through the dragon's lip and digging their way into his upper gums above the dragon's fangs. The flesh around the blades began to turn a greenish purple, festering quickly each moment that past.

(Oh we are totally kickin that dragon's ass)

Katniss winced as pain shot through her shoulder again when the sword buried itself in the dragon's flank, and refused to come out. It was hard to pull with only one good arm. She finally decided to retrieve it later, before the dragon could mutilate her.

Katniss's strike found it's way in one of the dragon's joints, and some blood started to leak out.

The dragon roared it's rage and turned it's attention to Jaxel , it spit out more of the freezing breath. Just as Shuda came up and slashed at the dragon's ribs. The axe didn't even dent the rock hard scales, but just angered the dragon more.
