Deltapaw wriggled out from of the apprentices' den, not sure how to help her brother now. After all, if she said anymore, she'd probably begin to embarrass herself more that Shadderpaw. Flicking her shining gaze around, she easily made her way through the darkness and decided to sit next to a shadowy tree, turning invisible in the darkness.

Shadderpaw blinked in confusion before lurching backwards and meowing,"What's up Lavapaw? Where is everyone else? Did they leave for some patrol or something...?" His dark fur prickled with nervousness as he chuckled awkwardly.

(So when are we gonna have a timeskip??)

"Oh god," Lavapaw mewed, suddenly rushing frantically to turn face up and force his way out of his nest, despite the moss clinging to his fur, that he was rushing too much to notice."That reminds me" He gathered himself then in one quick bound hopped over the cats in between him and the entrance. He was outside now, and he turned with a quick pivot. "Croi!" he said, a glance back at Shadderpaw before he loped off in the direction the tom had said to meet.

Moonpaw started to run after the others, trying to catch up. Looking behind her. "If you practice while I'm gone you might have a bit of a chance!" Moonpaw mewed back behind her. Speeding up to the point where she almost ran into the back of croi as she came to a skidding halt. "S-Sorry!" Moonpaw said, quite apologetic.

The kits wriggled about, Black-kit and Sourkit already attempting to stand up and stumble around with a strong sense of wobbliness, although their youngest sister was the best at walking so far, however they all did no more than a mere clutzy waltz.

" 'ey Croi!" Lavapaw called following after the tom into the forest. "Wait up." he said, as he padded towards the group of cats.

Smokemask stirred in his sleep, muttering something about annoyingly loud apprentices.

FrostClan: A Dark Tomorrow - Page 2 Empty Re: FrostClan: A Dark Tomorrow

Post  MewMew100 Tue Jul 10, 2012 1:02 am

(Fall, I think. So that'd be Leaffall)

One of the kits stumbled out of the Nursery, his bright green eyes glowing at the wide world standing before his tiny black and blue body, causing his legs to shake and collapse. Quickly after him were the three bodies of Miasmakit, Sourkit, and Bluekit, their odd colors popping out against the pitch black night, except for Black-kit, with an exception of his light pale blue markings and his bright cream spot. Their eyes, a pair of warm amber, ivy green, bright crimson, and dark violet, all glowing as their attentions attracted to many things, the litter taking off in all different directions.

Black-kit had begun chasing a stray moth around the large tree near the exit of the camp, his large paws clumsily thrashing about in the dark grass. His mouth was drawn in a wide, toothy grin, his little pink tongue lolling about as he attempted to catch the insect in his maw. The dark colored tom quickly began yowling happily, yipping every time he came close to catching the moth, being the noisiest of all his siblings.

Sourkit had decided to make his way to the fresh kill pile, shoving around the death bits of meat like he did his siblings, creating a little fort in which to hide his bright golden body from the dark before he began thrashing about with a cold vole, its fat, lanky body just as big as the kit who was attack it. As he fought against his tough opponent, Sourkit emitted sharp hisses and growls of a kit's battle cry.

Miasmakit was much more calm about her actions, however, she was no match for her curious kit instincts and she headed straight to the Medicine cat's den, her pudgy legs steadily carrying her toward the fragrant place. As soon as she crept in, she found herself rolling about happily in Emeraldeye's storage, thrashing about wildly in the pungent smelling leaves and berries, making a large portion of the herbs into a salad, stuffing her tiny mouth with anything she could find, along with a bit of moss and mouse bile, which cause her to start coughing and mewling loudly.

As for Bluekit, the tiny amber-pointed blue she-kit had traveled to the Warriors' den and was gently trampling around in the sleeping cats' nest, thrashing around whenever she got her paws tangled in the moss, or when a cat had accidentally rolled onto her tail, pinning her. It was then when she would whimper out in great bolts of squeaks and squeals, her big, blind-looking eyes wide and lighting up the dark place.

Despite whoever it was, all of the kits were thrashing around and making a mess within the dead of night, wailing out with their song of youth, whether it be in pain, joy, anger, or pure confusion. For Frostclan, tonight would not be a peaceful one.

(I've been waiting long enough to start working on them. If they can't talk yet, oh well, but they now have their eyes open and can move around a bit. At least, enough to bother some cats.)

"Miasmakit!" Emeraldeye yowled, a wild, frightened look in his eye as he scooped up the coughing kit in mis maw. He placed her gently down in a moss nest a examined the herbs strewn about. Spit-filled moss, missing bile, a shortage of thyme, a little less marigold than I remember, a considerable amount of borage gone... it didn't look like the kit had eaten anything that would be fatal. She'd just have a bad bellyache for a few days and the horrible taste of mousbile on her tongue. The light brown tabby tom turned to Miasmakit, a certain fire in his eyes. He wished he could lash out and give her a bit of a scratch or a nip to show her not to mess with herbs, but he was a gentle medicine cat. Good thing I don't keep deathberries, He thought, nudging the kit.

She blinked her bright purple eyes curiously at Emeraldeyes before stretching her neck out to lick his nose, rubbing the scent of bile onto it. Then, turning around, she began yowling in union with her siblings, mainly replying to her sister's wails of pain and fright coming from the Warriors' den. Her tail lashed as she bounded clumsily toward Bluekit's mewls, wondering where her sister was getting crushed, seeing a big blob of crimson and black fur.

"Oh, Starclan," Emeraldeye mewed, trying to block out the sounds of wailing kits. It was giving him a pounding headache. He padded out of his messy den and went to the pained cries coming from the warriors' den, peeking in his head to see Bluekit stumbling about.

Vieledmist groggily opened one eye to see a pudgy ball of fur wailing as it tried to pull its tail out from under him. He rolled off the kit and went back into a peaceful sleep despite the noise.

As soon as she was free, Bluekit bounced blindly away, running straight into Hellspire, the sleeping sloth rolling onto her.

Seeing this, Miasmakit flung herself onto the sleeping tom's face, using her tiny thorn sharp claws to poke at his nose, hissing and spitting in annoyance. "I-ister!!! My i-ister!" the small she-kit attempted to scream, though Hellspire merely snorted and batted her away, flinging her onto Veiledmist's back.

"Ah, get it off me!" Vieledmist meowed irritably, being a little more gentle. He grabbed the kit's scruff and dropped it into an empty nest, sleepily stumbling back into his. He didn't really care what happened, he just wanted to sleep. With all the noise his endeavor seemed impossible.

"For Starclan's sake," Emeraldeye muttered, putting a paw on his forehead.

Black-kit then darted under Emeraldeye's paws and headed for his sisters, his tiny paws covered in angry red insects- Fire Ants, a swarm of honey bees buzzing around his head, and a very pissed lizard biting onto his tail, its red throat bulging like a fan. Black-kit was whimpering as there was a stinger wedged deep into his nose and more of the striped bugs divebombed into his body, many of them missing the target.

By this point, the Warriors' den was chaos! Kits and warriors both were scrambling about in confusion as ants and bees overtook the tired cats. Relciheart and Hellspire were standing back to back, their fur bristled and faces flustered as the insects swarmed and the kits cowered.

As for Sourkit, the fat and lazy tom was fast asleep, hidden deep within the safety of the fresh kill pile, acting as if there were nothing going on.

(Yes, I had to do it.)

Emeraldeye snatched up the screaming Black-kit by the scruff, immediatly getting stung by bees. He tried to carry the wailing kit to his den so he could remove stingers and ease its pain.

Vieledmist jumped up, getting bitten by ants. He shook them off of his thick, glossy fur and sneezed as one crawled around on his nose. What happened in here? he asked himself, watching cats dart around, running from bees, hiding from ants. And in the midst of it were the kits that had been bothering them. I guess other kit sare just as bad. he tried to be tolerant, he really did, but right now he was hating the rogue kits.

('ay they never knew they were kittypets! XD JK)

Relicheart scooped up Bluekit, and as he went to grab Miasmakit, he stopped as she began abruptly vomiting in Hellspire's nest. There were a coupe snickers and Relicheart had to fight to resist the urge to laugh as Hellspire's face was shriveled up in anguish. "D-did this kit get into the yarrow?" The elder warrior had smelled the herbs on her smoggy pelt before the scent of bile filled his nose.

Black-kit thrashed about, screaming out as his dark green eyes burned angrily. "Big! Too big! Attackers- SMALL!" He began swishing around his tail, attempting to shake off the lizard, who only hissed in reply with his scaly throat.

"They must've!" Emeraldeye meowed as he overheard him from the warriors' den. The tabby tom dashed in, watching the kits nervously. "I wasn't sure what she'd eaten, it was too hard to tell what with the herbs strewn everywhere. It won't be fatal, but she'll be vomiting in your nest a bit longer," He mewed, fretting about the kits' safety. They were annoying, but he always liked the clan's young.

Mintpaw woke up to the screaming of kits and Emreldeye's talking. He got up, and upon seeing all the strewn herbs on the floor said, "Come on!" with a tired voice. First he got up the moss and mouse bile, then he got up the borage and yarrow, and he finally got the thyme. When he was done cleaning all the herbs up he went back to his nest, and tried to go back to sleep.

(it's the middle of the night and Hellspire's screaming in the warriors den.)

Relicheart sighed and picked up Miasmakit, who was now staggering around the den, careful enough to not trample on her vomit. After plucking her up, having to hold his breath thanks to the kit's nearly poisonous smelling pelt, the large tom padded after the medicine cat who was carrying the wriggling, tiny Black-kit.

Emeraldeye, who was now in the medicine cat den with the ever-screaming Black-kit, was gathering herbs to treat him. With much effort he'd managed to get the lizard off of his tail without serious injury. He was now chewing blackberry leaves into a pulp to help ease the swelling of the bee stings. He'd mix the leaves' pulp with the white juices from dandelions to help ease the pain. It must be terrible for the little kit. It might be too dangerous to give him poppy seeds at such a young age.
Oh, how the tabby medicine cat fretted about Black-kit. He applied the poultice of blackberrry and dandelion the the many bee stings, trying to keep the squirming kit still. Maybe he'd have to put some catchweed on the poultice to keep it from rubbing off.

"Come on kits, we're nearly to the place where he's rumored to return!" Croi was really going out on a limb here. He had no idea what this legend was all about, only hearing different variations of it back at home. He slid through the darkness, slow enough that he wouldn't lose the kits but fast enough that it seemed he was trying to get away from them.

"You're a long way from home aren't you boy." The slightly raspy voice belonged to a large black cat, though on closer inspection it was mostly a thick, fluffy heavy pelt. "Do my ears device me or did I hear you searching for a ghost?" She purred, swaggering out of the bushes and into the moonlight. It was none other than The Beldam herself, she was known to appear in the territories from time to time with a cryptic word and a suave chuckle. If the Alley-cats where to be believed she had dark powers, but that was nonsense... wasn't it?

"W-we wanna find the ghost of an old leader," Cureskit couldn't help but stutter as she padded forward to the Beldam. "Do you know where he is?" She was still trembling a little, but it was better than usual. She was talking.
