Thornpaw's Day Off

Ivypaw stayed silent. She wondered who these cats were, but she knew she shouldn't ask. Thornpaw would explain later. She smiled sweetly to Mercury and Dante. She stared at Dante in wonder. What a loyal tom, protecting his family like that.....unlike my stupid father.

Thornpaw nodded "It's a noble cause." He glanced at Copper and Mercury "Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the resistance will happily take them in."

"I just needed to make sure there were no spies in their ranks, though Dante assured me there wouldn't be you can't be to careful." Mercury meowed. She turned to Ice. "We've been trying to get their strength up so they can make the journey to the abandoned building site. Extra paws would be great!" She meowed, Dante nodded in agreement.

Ice grinned a little. "Not to mention a shaman's paw. Or the apprentice of one, at least." He glanced at the cats in the boxes again. "I'm glad I can help."

(( Im going to bed. Writer's block+sleepy=bad combo. Night))

(I've got jobs to do. Continue later... Mum will kill me if I don't do the washing....)

(Mmkay. I'll probably be on for maybe 30 minutes, possibly an hour or more. After that, I'm going to bed.)

(Right when I get on, everyone starts to leave XD) Jewelpaw flicked her tail, thinking for a moment. Then, just blurting out her mind, she mewed,"Why don't we cross it?! I bet it'll set us on an amazing adventure!" Her silver eyes were gleaming as she spoke. And besides, wasn't that what warriors did? Go out and explore to add on to their clan's territory? She was ready to become a warrior, being the right age and all, she just had to wait till Smolderstar said she was ready. This should deem me as a warrior!

"Well, you'll need some protection." Said a familiar voice from the shadows. Smolderstar stepped forward. "There's no stopping you, but I can come."

Jewelpaw spun around, her pelt grew hot. Her eyes were wide as she spoke. "Y-you want to come?! But...What about the clan?! Aigean is injured so she can't lead it while you're gone!" Her tail swished low to the ground as she stood nervously next to Hawkpaw.

Ice curled his white and gray-ringed tail around his paws. I can definitely offer these cats some help. All's I'd have to do is get some herbs. Trinity's taught me a lot so far, so I shouldn't have much trouble caring for them.

"She'll be fine." Smolderstar replied. "But I don't want you getting hurt."

(See? He doesn't care about Aigean, just Jewelpaw... XD)

(Ok, so Ice, Copper, ivypaw, & Thornpaw are in the alleys and Jewelpaw, Smolderstar, & Hawkpaw are about to enter it. Do they meet up later or something? I don't mind if the groups keep their seprate ways for a while ) Jewelpaw dipped her head and looked at Hawkpaw, worried if the tabby tom would argue or refuse. He is our leader.....

(Oh, I see a Hawkpaw vs. Smolderstar rivalry going on during this RP...)

Smolderstar nodded and turned to go. "Well, come on then." He said, tail twitching irritably.

Hawkpaw bristled but kept his mouth shut, Smolderstar was clan leader after all. "Lets go then. I can't be that bad, it looks like Thornpaw's being coming here for a while from the scent of it." The tabby meowed. He glared at his leader, his normally soft brown eyes hard.

"I think there is a Two-leg nest with a green house near by where we can get some herbs." Mercury meowed looking at the cats around her.

Jewelpaw followed slowly behind Smolder, partily flanked by Hawkpaw. She was nervous about the trip, but even more nervous about traveling with her mentor. What if I mess up?! Would it hold back me being a warrior? No, it'll just be like old times. Just a little adventure between me and Smolderstar plus Hawkpaw. He'll be joining us too. Ok, lets do this! Her bent ears pricked up and her body language changes from being slow and saggy to being proud and brisk. Her head was held high as she trotted in between the two toms, not focused on anything except the stone wall. Stopping in front of it, she shivered. She hadn't realized how high it was.

Ice purred happily. "Can you take me there so I can get a few things?" he asked. Wonder which herbs are going to be there... Hopefully something that'll help these poor cats.

(( something bad should happen to them once they enter...))

Thornpaw flicked his tail, glancing around at the starved cats. He felt sorry for them, and a pang of pity hit his heart. He wasn't a shaman, or a medicine cat. he couldn't help them through herbs, he wasn't like Guisepi either, he couldn't aid them through words. The only thing he could do for them, was help to protect them, and hunt for them. Thornpaw stood up, shaking his fur.

Trinity sat on the ground, staring up at Pandora and her friends. I shouldn't be here, Copper needs me more than these foolish cats do. Not even caring, she got up and padded towards Copper, Ice, Thornpaw, and Ivypaw's scents. When she got there, she padded up to Ice. "Hello young one, who are these cats?", she asked, glancing around at the poor souls in the boxes.

"The remainder of the family Pelt," Ice explained. "I'm going to help care for them until they're strong enough for travel."

Trinity smiled. "You are a very kind cat, Ice.", she praised. "I am proud to have such a fine apprentice."

A dark colored cat sat perched on a fence, quietly watching the cats below. A creepy,twisted grin was sprawled across his face and his eyes shown dark light that seemed like a lone shadow among the light. His crooked tail was slumped over the side, twitching like its nerves were dead and he couldn't control it. He seemed interested by the young cats' conversation, but it wouldn't be long till they found him since the scent of death and decay hung about him, it was the permanent scent he had gained from all the moons he had spent around the dead.

"I'll go get some prey." Thornpaw said, speaking up. he swished his tail once in a motion that said Anyone can join me then slipped away down a narrow side alley, in the opposite direction from which they had come.

The cat lifted hs tail, a dark swaying snake, ragged from the smoggy wind. His yellowish green eyes were glued onto the small tabby tom and he grinned his twisted smile. As his mouth opened, the thick smell of death. His snaggled black, rotted teeth were jagged and chipped.

Mercury followed Thornpaw. "You really shouldn't have come. Though I must say I'm glad you did." She meowed.

"Ok Ice, Trinity lets go get those herbs" Copper meowed.
