I have come to a decision, I can no longer stay here. I want to remember how this clan used to be, not what it has become. A arrogant creature our leader and an overwrought she-cat as our deputy. It has been a long time but I will reclaim my family name, though I will still keep the warrior name I was given. For this moment forward I am not just Rosethorn, but Rosethorn of the Claw. I wonder perhaps how my cousins are doing, I do not remember them well but bits and pieces are lodged in my memory. The Claw family has always been famous for our unwavering gaze and our odd eye colours, It unnerves some cats I am sure, and it is those eyes that stick in my memory.
I wonder if my sons will come with me. I know Honeykit wanted to be a medicine cat, perhaps Kass would take him on. Coalkit I know wished to follow in his fathers paw steps. Thunderkit though, that boy has taken allot from me, so much so that even I can not tell what he is thinking. If I was to guess though I think my second son blames his father for the state of the clan.

Thornpaw was often coming back to camp with the scent of the Alleys on him, oh he hid it well and most would pass it off for being blown by the wind but I know better. The child has recently disappeared, maybe I will see him in the Alleys?

And what will Ravenstrike, no he would be going by Raven in the Alleys. What would he think? He was like the brother I never had.... my mother had no patience for males.

The Alleys call for me, with my claws and on my honor I will return to the home I fled.
