Wildpaw's Alteration

Bloodmoon sighed. "Okay, okay. We'll shut up about all the stuff you're ruining for us for now... At least, I will."

"If you don't get your ass down there I'll climb up there and pull you down here by your tail!" Icestar shouted at the apprentice, whiskers twitching in annoyance.

Echohawk nodded, her light green gaze saying she'd stop too. She gingerly pawed at the ground, her small paws twinkling with starlight.

Wildpaw at least showed a little respect for his former leader, so he climbed down. As he climbed, he noticed his fur was becoming a little transparent, and little stars were appearing.

"Hah, you managed to get him to show a little respect." meowed a black tom, stepping into the misty clearing. His amber eyes were on Wildpaw. "Who the heck are you??" Wildpaw hissed, stepping onto the grass. "I am Fire-eyes, father of Sandstreak. I died right before my mate found out she was bearing kits, and died giving birth. Sandstreak was our only kit. I knew Icestar since he was an apprentice." Fire-eyes replied.

Bloodmoon sighed. "We still have a long way to go, Fireeyes."

Icestar nodded. "It's nice to see ya. And yeah, we have a very long way to go."

Echohawk stayed silent, the timid she-cat unsure how to act around the Frostclan cats, she being from an enemy clan once.

Icestar nudged Echohawk gently. "Why are you so quiet, kid? I'm sure you want to talk trash about Wildkit as much as we do." He chuckled, winking again.

Echohawk began,"I only been dead for half a moon. I really don't know how he acted until now, basically. I'm only here to try and help out."

(if Waterheart was Icestar's daughter, who was Waterheart's mother?? XD)

Fire-eyes turned to Bloodmoon. "Wildpaw took his first step towards learning respect, and sometimes the first step is the most important one," he meowed, sounding all important and wise and such. Turning back to Wildpaw, he meowed, "You can stop all that hostile junk, if you behave we'll stop talking about our Neopets and Webkinz and stuff."

Bloodmoon nodded. "Yes, I'm aware of that," he responded to Fireeyes.

Wildpaw dipped his head slightly to Fire-eyes. Fire-eyes started sounding like a drill sergeant. "Wildpaw, about your kindness issues, my mother died when I was an apprentice, and my father completely ignored me and my brother, and my brother died of greencough when he was an apprentice. I didn't like seeing you taking your family for granted, Wildpaw. The only sibling of yours that died was Fallenleaves sister who died only because she was too weak. You should've been kind towards your family, rather than wrestle with them more violently than you should have, and ignore them as an apprentice! Lesson one: Be kind to your family and be thankful you have one!"

(Bump)

"Yeah, be more like Waterheart. And Wolfmask." Icestar piped up, then glanced around. "What? Am I the only one who's noticed them looking at each other?" He stopped. "Fine, back on topic."

"I don't need a family!" Wildpaw hissed.

"You don't know what you need until you lose it!" Hissed Icestar, baring his fangs.

( I have an idea. Icestar's former mate was a kittypet or rogue who left the clan and didn't believe in Starclan. It's not known whether or not she's dead but a few members of the clan might remember her. )

Echohawk shook her head, eyes dim at the thought of her own sister. She then picked her head up at the sound of approaching paw steps.
Whipping around, she faced a large russet brown tom who was extremely tall and looked like an elderly fox. His large ears twitched and his bushy tail swished against the grassy ground, his bright amber eyes on Wildpaw. "Cats who show no pity or emotion are doomed to live without it, doomed to be forgotten among the living, and doomed to walk alone through the Sky of No Stars. I am Foxstar, former leader of the far away clan Crystalclan and I know how it is to not meet my family. My only kit was born right after I died, yet I have never lost faith in someday meeting with them again and they haven't lost faith in me."

Icestar dipped his head in respect. "He speaks the truth, Wildpaw. Listen, or be damned." He looked towards the sky. Well... sky's not really the word. He looked at... upper Starclan. That's better.

At the elderly leader's words, Wildpaw felt a small pang in his heart, a pang of sadness. What if your family has forgotten you? Fire-eyes dipped his head. "Life without emotion is a life not worth living."

Foxstar's bright yellow gaze turned to Echohawk, glowing softly with pity. "You do not speak much....I know much about you and your family. Perhaps teaching young Wildpaw isn't in your best interest." He dodn't speak to me harsh or cruel, only with thoughts of how these teaching might force the small grey cat to relive her past experiences.

Echohawk seemed to chock up for a moment before mewing, facing Wildpaw,"Be lucky that you have a family who misses you. Be glad to have a mother and father and littermates who love you..."
