I'm still getting used to the clan, or I may never get used to the clan. It's just so.....so different.

Nothing is the same here, nothing is as it was, nor will it ever be. I fear that.

That Blackpaw is something to be feared. I'm lucky he's on my side. I've seen cats like him before. They need to be careful that it doesn't go to his head, as I fear it's doing. I don't doubt his loyalty, for it is fierce. Nor do I doubt his willingness to lay down his life for the clan. But I do worry for the tom, he's a good cat at heart I believe...

I worry for Quartzprickle. She's overworking herself. The fact that she is almost the mother of the new she-cats weighs heavily upon her. I see it with every step she takes. The huntresses do need her terribly, but Quartzprickle is fast wearing herself out. No cat can work for that long, using that much energy before they collapse.

As for me, things are slowing down. My memories are haunted, but my soul is at peace. Life is a short thing, and I think mine is soon at an end. Maybe a few more seasons, but I know it's coming. I'm ready for it. I figure that if it came down to a fight, if I had to, I would lay my life down for this clan. They are worthy of it. I see them all work so tirelessly to help protect and feed the clan. It's inspirational, that's for sure.
