Digimon: Clash of Corruption

The current year is 2012, the golden age for the rise of technology. The sweet, sweet electronics who lessen our work and make lives easier and more comfortable. Cooking, transportation, even interaction has become much simpler through the use of today's greatest achievement! People across the globe, from China, to Egypt, then Australia, to the US; all connected. Yet, with such things that make peoples' lives so comfortable, there will always be those who wish misery upon on others. That's just how the world works. And with the internet so focused in our minds, it being the backbone of our society, there will be those who will seek to destroy it. Viruses, corruption, and data deterioration; these are the horrors in which the most wicked of blood and flesh can create to destroy our whole network. Yet, it doesn't stop there. Humans may come up with horrid hacks and data-eaters, but only those who understand the digital world to its full extent can disrupt the world all together. With such creatures lurking about, their struggle to force humanity to their limits, neither Earth, nor the Digital World is safe. However, through this darkest of times, humanity's future lies in the palms of Hope, in which a chosen group of children, the DigiDestined, are able to free the worlds of this darkness and restore what the Corruption has destroyed.

Plot:
A handful of children, who are subliminally chosen, must come together with their destined partners in order to restore the Digital World, lest their own Earth be eradicated in full as well.

The children who are chosen as the DigiDestined are often riddled with dreams of their future partners, and confusion has begun to somewhat interfere with their average lives.

~~~ "At last, we’ve survived 2012 and have made it to 2013. With Dooms Day gone and past and Devimon obliterated from the Digital World, the Digidestined had won the war and saved the Digiworld from darkness and corruption, and were finally allowed to return home after 18 long months. And, as they had gone back to the Real World, it was clear to all that the time between the two worlds with far, far apart- being about only16 hours lost on Earth. So, each child went back to their daily lives. But, as they left, the bond between each child and their Digimon was too strong to break and the digital creatures left their land to stay with their partners. But to all their astonishment, upon entering the Real World, something changed and left all the Digidestined pondering.

But on to later news…Our fight with Devimon is over, but to my somber dismay, I, Liddell, have figured out a newer, stronger evil has surfaced, able to break through the Wall of Fire that protected all the information of the Digital World, and once again, the Digital Heroes known as the DigiDestined must return to face a terrible place where their friends once frolicked, but now lived plagued lives." ~~~


Digimon:
Digimon hatch from eggs called Digi-Eggs. They age via a process called "Digivolution" which changes their appearance and increases their physical powers. Some Digimon act feral, like wild animals. Most, however, possess human intelligence, speech, and personality traits. It was mentioned that, if a Chosen Digimon were to be seperated from their partner, then they would start to become weaker. They age in a similar fashion to real living organisms, but do not die under normal circumstances because they are made of reconfigurable data. Old Digimon and Digimon who receive fatal wounds dissolve into infinitesimal bits of data. The data then recomposes itself as a Digi-Egg and the Digimon goes through its life cycle again. Digimon who are reincarnated in this way will sometimes retain some or all their memories of their previous lifespan. However, if a Digimon's data is "downloaded", in which all the data of a dying Digimon is absorbed by another, or if the data is completely deleted or destroyed, they will permanently die. (Sounds complicated, I know, but it really isn't.)

Digi-Eggs are created in various ways, in fact. The most often way for a Digi-Egg to be created is from the reconfigured data of a fallen Digimon, which is transported back to be protected in Primary Village. However, another very popular, yet not as common way for eggs to be created is through Digimon Breeding. Digimon Breeding is quite rare, but not as much as the third way of Digi-Egg creation, and requires two grown Digimon. The Digimon must be compatible in some aspect, whether it be physically, such as similar breeds or Digivolution lines, or emotionally, such as in love or attachments. But something different with breeding Digimon is that neither parent Digimon must have a specific gender, so it is very likely that a Digi-Egg can be born from parents of opposite genders, the same genders, or parents without genders completely. The final known way to create a Digi-Egg is to create it through computer programs from within the Real World. However, this process is extremely long, tedious, and time consuming. For the most part, it also ends in a failed attempt that normally crashes the computer in which the egg was programmed. But in a very rare chance that the egg's programming is actually successful, the Digi-Egg will develop abnormally fast within the computer and once it hatches, it will become corrupt with multiple viruses and will devour all the data stored within the computer and move along to the eat the Internet.

A semi-short girl with average length dark sepia colored hair and odd violet eyes. She normally wears light colored button up shirts with long sleeves and unbuttoned collar (Her current color of shirt is a pale whitish yellow). Along with that, she has a small, tight tan leather jacket and white skinny jean with jagged rips in them. Her shoes are soft boots, almost sock-like except for the tough, rubber padded grips beneath them. The boots are black with brown leather straps. She also wears a black leather belt loosely around her hips, the belt having small decorative purple buttons of different sizes in which her future Digivice will be attached to as well, and small, fingerless, black leather gloves. Finally, she wears a loose light brown beanie with long braids with fluffy puff balls attached to them that hang down on each side of her head and small bear ears on the top of it; the hat covering most of her pinned-up hair except for her long, wavy bangs that show in the front.

Clara Belle - Killona, Louisiana / Age: 10


Katrina - London, Great Britain / Age: 15
A shorter-than-average teen with a heavy British accent. She has red hair and freckles, like most gingers. She loves to wear a gray jacket but never zips it up, and often has a well-fitting red or purple shirt underneath. She wears jeans that are often ripped at the bottom and sneakers.

Lance - Sacramento, California / Age: 13
Despite her odd name, Lance is a girl. Her hair is rather short, as she hates it getting in the way when she does... stuff. Her clothes are dirty and unkempt and when she's tired, her right eyelid droops down farther than the left. She has bright green eyes and she usually wears short sleeved shirts, and if she wears a long sleeved one, it's a thermal shirt and is rolled up on her arms. She generally wears dark, foresty colors, rather than bright colors like pink.

Saii - Tokyo, Japan / Age: 12
A young boy of eleven years with shaggy, razor-cut silvery white hair that gleam like silk when it not laced with dirt from outdoor play. He is tall despite his age, but still shorter than most, and had light hazel brown eyes with almost a chestnut tinge, as well as almost always a bit of dirt and grime about his face and clothes from being a soccer player. His attire accounts for a cerulean and gold T-shirt with a golden lightning bolt, oval, and team name typing across the front, and a golden number 7 on the back, matching blue and gold shorts, and black and yellow spiked cleats to finish the uniform, as well a pair of goggles around his neck; and more often than not a lighting bolt painted on his cheek, though scratched up from play.

Sable - Quezon, Philippines / Age: 15


Allie - Bern, Switzerland / Age: 14
Allie is slightly tall and skinny. She has long, straight blonde hair (no bangs, she grew those out) and green eyes. A few freckles are scattered across her cheeks. She likes to wear a pair of comfortable blue jeans, a t-shirt (usually dark green), and a black jacket. Her sneakers are as comfortable as the rest of her outfit and perfect for running, which she loves to do.

"HELP!!!" Her voice cracked and a spurt of blood splashed from her lips as her splitting scream cried out. She cringed, an exhausted groan escaping her lungs as the ribs in her chest continued to get crushed more and more with each passing second. Eyelids fluttering, just as she was about to lose consciousness, an odd burst of bright light filled her fuzzy gaze and she drew a quivering smile, not knowing why, but she was somewhat relieved. Tightening her grip around a large white object with thick, hard skin, she spluttered again, droplets of crimson making dark spots upon the egg’s shell. Her legs lost their tense struggle with the rest of her body, falling down from where they were drawn up to her lower belly and now hanging limply as the large creature swung her to and forth within its grip. W....wh....at?… She then blacked out.

"Dorumon….! Digivolve to….!!" After the shrill voice ended, there was a short pause. Suddenly, a thundering roar shattered the silence with, "DORUGAMON!!!!" At that, the earth rumbled as the enormous monster darted over to the red creature holding his partner captive, squeezing the life from her. "Power Metal!!!" screeched the booming voice, and shortly after, a massive hunk of a melted iron core was shot in a beam from the looming purple and black dragonish beast's maw. As its target sidestepped from the attack, the orbs crashed into the foe Digimon's free arm, but none the less, it barely bothered the creature. Blast it! Damn you Tyrannomon…Enraged that the Dorugamon attempted to attack him, the Tyrannomon snarled and roared out, "Mega Napalm!" A fiery jet burst through the air, heading straight for the purple, black, white, and crimson beast Digimon, tightening his grip around the girl.

"Dorugamon, why do you attempt to rescue this human being? It is a menace to the Digital World, so why do you wish for its well being?!" The red dinosaur-like creature shook his head in shame at the younger Digimon standing before him, still struggling to wipe him out.

"Its…its because…..Koya and I are connected!! We make each other strong, and I will protect her always! Even at the cost of my life!!" Running up at Tyrannomon, crimson claws outstretched, Dorugamon screamed, "Beast Claws!" The Digimon's claws ripped into the red Tyrannomon's chest, causing it to squeal out in pain and lurch backward, dropping Koya. The girl fell, head first with her arms still clenched around the large egg that was pressed against her belly, even in her state, she wouldn’t let it go. At once, the dark colored creature lunged for his falling partner, catching her quickly at the cost of his belly crashing into a skid on the rough dirt ground. "There…" he replied softly with a grunt. "…Got you." Holding her lightly in his claws paws, a blinding light pierced the sky from the earth and after a brief second, there lay a small purple fox-like creature with a glowing red orb on his forehead, and a passed out human girl upon his small white paw and the large white egg upon her belly.

She woke up with a start. Ugggg.... That dream again. Why do I keep having it? Who the hell is that egg and that....that Dorumon? She glanced at her alarm clock, it reading 10:34am and pulled herself out of her bed. She then slipped into her somewhat ratty slippers and trudged groggily out of her room, down the dim hall lit only by the morning sun's light coming from the bathroom's window, and into her family's apartment's kitchen. Rubbing a rounded fist into one eye, a long, drawn out yawn escaped her tired throat as she pulled out a mug and filled it to the brim with coffee. While she walked over to the counter were two bar stools stood, she grabbed a toaster waffle out of the duel toaster. By the feel of how cold it was, she could tell that she had overslept and the rest of her family had already left home and begun their day. Sitting down, she took a bite out of the dry waffle, her tongue and throat getting scratched by its rough surface. She knew that it would probably be easier to eat if she moistened it down with the sticky, sugary syrup that her mother bought the other day, but she told herself that she was too lazy to get up and get it herself, so she decided just wash it down with some of her cooled coffee. As she swigged it down, her eyes went wide and she spluttered, spitting the coffee out across the floor. She was in such a trance of sleepiness that she had forgotten to add anything to her coffee and she hated drinking it black. Sighing, she got up to get a rag to clean up the mess when she glanced out of the large window in the living room that stood next to the kitchen, the bright blue skyline of Tokyo reminding her that she was supposed to meet up with some of her friends later. Probably at the park....Ehh, I'll text 'em later; tell I need to take a bit of a breather and wake up. As she walked to her bathroom, which was across from her own room in the hall, Koya paused, for the first time, actually realizing her own exhaustion. I wonder why I keep having these dreams.....Maybe the others can shed a bit of light on the topic......Probably nothing 'cept paranoia.....but still..

Lance's eyes snapped open and she whipped out her phone. "Is it too late? Is it? Nope!" She giggled to herself, checking her clock. "Not dead!" She practically shouted, playing with the interactive pet that was living on her phone. She had to wake up in the middle of the night to feed it in four hour intervals, which would thankfully lengthen as the creature matured. "Hey, Billy..." She scratched and fed the pet dragon, then put the phone back in her dresser, pulled the covers over herself, and went back to sleep.

She always did this.

She didn't have anywhere to go today, anyway, and she was about to fall asleep when she realized her goal on Pokemon: Soulsilver. "I gotta get those twenty one hundred coins so I can get that Dratini for my Nuzlocke! Man, Laur's gonna laugh when she finds out that I've been staying up all night to get these..."

And her day of video games began.

No need to brush her hair, put anything presentable on, or anything, really. Just hanging out, playing video games, texting her friends, and all of that stuff.

Koya settled herself on the center of the rug which sat in the middle of the living room, her laptop sitting in front of her. She had just cleaned up the coffee and was ready to start her daily online needs: check her RPing sites, skim her eggs on Dragon Cave, click some random infected hosts on Pokefarm, and look at the stupidly funny gifs on Tumblr. The same old, same old. Bored that nothing was happening on her daily websites, she logged onto a familiar chatroom, and area where she 'hung out' with her internet buds. The website was called 'Pal Park.'

Waiting for a reply, she busily slurped up a mouth full of noodles from the cup of instant ramen gripped tightly in her hands.

Ninjawesome: Nope.

Lance had her account logged on constantly in the background of whatever media she had, so she could chat with her friends whenever she wanted.

She skimmed all of her browsers for the RP she was looking for, typed in a sentence or two, and clicked back. This was the life...

"ClaraBelle Jane Fontenot, get your behind outta bed!!" a southern voice shouted from the kitchen.

"Coming, maw!" A shrill cry came from the room at the end of the hall. Clara slowly climbed out of her tall bed, her tiny toes wriggling to safely touch the ground before she let go of the sheets. She stumbled out of the room, tripping over her too large, hand me down pajama pants. She rushed to the kitchen, as two massive alligators followed quickly behind her. The huge reptiles knew that when Clara went into the kitchen, they were gonna get a snack.

"Clara, where's my gumbo pot? I knew it was around here somewhere..."

"What'cha need, Momma?"

The tired, but defiant woman glanced at her daughter. "Go feed Brutus and Charlie. And make sure Clyde and Ruckus get up. And bring daddy his breakfast."

"Yes, m'am." The little girl rushed and grabbed a plate full of bacon and eggs and hurried it to her father, who was getting ready for work. "Here daddy." She set the plate down on his nightstand and dashed outside. Clara tossed the gators some rotten chicken, the massive creatures gobbling it up in a second. She then ran back inside to wake up her brothers.

The mornings sure were busy on the bayou.

I wonder who's on...? Clara glanced at her computer...

Koya snickered at how silly Ninjawesome had sounded, stating they weren't there when they obviously were. As she downed the rest of the broth, the hot juices running down the corners of her mouth, she sigh in relaxation. Life is soooo much easier these days! Everything was done by technology. Even going to meet friends at the park meant meeting up with them in Pal Park, where you never had to leave your comfortable butt crevice ever....or, that's how the lazy people thought anyways.

K_KAT_905: Hey, have you guys had those weird techy problems over there in the US?

She only knew that Ninjawesome was from the US because beneath each screen name was the city of where the person was connecting from, and their's said Sacramento.

K_KAT_905: We've been having some odd crap happening here, like power outages and corrupt data. Nothing too big though.

Gator_Girl337 I'm here, ya'll. Well, the electricity over here only works with some old wires, so it's really slow. And no one else on the bayou has computers, so I don't know for sure...

The little girl, sadly, was the smartest person in her family, because of new technology.

Daniel eyes opened slowly before he woke up then he listened for his sister on the computer but it wasn't there. He quickly got up and raced to the computer thanking the lord that he had gotten up first.

Allie was abruptly woken up by her younger sister, Leah, pounding on her bedroom door. "HEY, ALLIE! Mom says to get your butt downstairs for breakfast or you'll have to wait until lunchtime!"

Allie could hear her already retreating back down the hall, and sighed. "Tell her I'm coming!!" she yelled after her. No point keeping her voice down. Odds were, everyone else was already awake. She glanced at the clock. Yep. Her father would already be at work by now.

She hopped up out of bed and trudged down to the kitchen, where her mother had already laid out some toast and a glass of milk on the counter. Leah stuck her tongue out at her sister, but said nothing. Allie grabbed her breakfast and hurried back up the stairs, saying a quick "Hey" to her mother after passing her in the hallway.

Once back in her bedroom, Allie set her breakfast on her nightstand and picked up her laptop. She turned it on.

Katrina gorggily opened her eyes. Damn, that dream was almost as wierd as the one about Imaginationland... she thought, tossing a few blankets off of her legs. She grabbed a silver remote, turning on the TV, and with another remote, turning on the DVD player. She put in disc one of the sixth season, choosing an episode of South Park that would always be funny. 'The New Terrance and Phillip Movie Trailer' began playing as she opened her labtop.

SamuriKenny: 'Sup guys? I haven't been hacing techy problems with my computer, but the TV is screwing with my South Park.

She winced slightly as the pitch of Butters' voice rose dramatically then fell to the normal tone again.

Koya began to slump backwards at the sight of all the people logging onto her server when she realized that she wasn't sitting on a chair and fell backwards.

"Wait...Did I just see Swiss_Cheese428 log on?!" She instantly shot upward and began typing, eyes dart around across the screen.

K_KAT_905: Huh, so there have some problems over there. Oh, hey everyone! Anyways, it seems Tokyo has been having the most technilogical difficulties and the government thinks it may be some new virus, yet they don't know where it came from......or how to stop it. News says that within the next week, it'll began to spread across the entire internet and will even begin to affect other devices like subways and cellphones. So yoy guys watch over there, though I'm sure its a bit over dramatic.

Thoughts of the entire internet crashing and corrupting data for some reason seemed to bring up her dream from the night before. She cursed herselfnfor remembering it and decided it was nothing except her body reacting to all those sodas she had before bed.

SamuriKenny: I assume it's just my age-old TV and the fact that these South Parks are used. I hope the problems resolve themselves over there.
But I had the wierdest dream! I was at this place called Imaginationland, and there was a bunch of candy, and an invisible backyard...Mariah was there.

The thought of her Digimon dream had completely slipped her mind, though her arm ached where a large creature had raked it in the dream.

(Just so this is out there, they don't know what digimon are yet )

Koya was about to reply when her front door swung open and short, silver haired boy wearing a soccer uniform walked in. Her surprise dissipated and Koya groaned,"Oh, you're back. Figures. They wouldn't let play becaus you're too short?"

"Hey, shut up!"

A shoe flew across the room and knocked her on the head. Normally, she would have gotten up and would've gone all sumo-style on his ass, but it was still pretty early and she'd chat online instead of wasting her time.

K_KAT_905: yeah, seems like a pretty odd dream. In fact, this last month, I've been having these odd dreams. I'm sure they're nothing, but its just the same dream over and over and over again.

SamuriKenny: Oh, I hate reccurring dreams. I had one about Alaska once...In fact I just had a dream about being attacked by some monster while a red thing tried to save me...There was also a spotted egg and it was snowing..Wierd.

Swiss_Cheese428: Recurring dreams... Weird, I've been having one too. It's really been bothering me.

Koya was shocked. Reoccuring dreams?!

K_KAT_905: your kidding, right! That's insane cuz my dreams have me getting attacked by some monster like those you see in an old japanese monster movie. I was holding a huge white egg and was be rescued by some fuzzy purple thing.

She got up, sighing with shock, and gathered up her laptop before disappeaing into her room. There, she pulled off her tank top and bed pants, changing into her favorite outfit. Finally, she pulled in her bear beanie and sat back down to look for replies.

British_Boy5989: Oh yay i've been haveing this dream where this blue thing with red boxing gloves saves me from this monster, and I was holding a big egg and all this happened in the deseret.

SamuriKenny: Really, dude? That sounds awesome! Why didn't you tell me about that dream before? Oh, Daniel, I'm gonna kill you....

Katrina chuckled as she typed. There was the nagging thought about the dreams, however. What if they mean something? she thought, shifting her weight uncomfortably. She sighed, guessing that it probably came from watching too much TV.

SamuriKenny: That monster that was attacking me...It was like a huge samuri chicken.

Koya shook her head, confusion blurring her gaze. This is too freaky!

K_KAT_905: in my dream, i was being swung around by some red T-rex thing and we were in the middle of some jungle.

Swiss_Cheese428: Okay, that's kinda creepy. In my dream, I had an egg too, and some huge thing attacked me. Then I was saved by a white and purple thing. I think it had cresent moon markings or something? Hard to remember details.

Allie started fidgeting. Was there a reason they'd all had similar dreams?

Just as things started to seems creepy, the hair on the back of Koya's neck where standing on end. Her bright eyes, which were purple thanks to color contacts, were glued to the screen when all of a sudden, a loud noise sounded and a form lumbered into her room, almost knocking down her door. She screamed out if fear, then the sound of boyish laughter erupted.

"Oh Koya!! You were actually scared by my 3DS?! HAA!"

Annoyed, with an throbbing vein pulsing on the side of her forehead, Koya darted forward and punched her brother's head.

"Damn it Saii! If you didn't have it cranked up so loud, I wouldn't have noticed it! Besides, that Giratina's cry is so annoying! Now, get outta my room!"

"Wahtever. I was only coming to ask if you had seen by headphones."

Rolling her eyes, she tossed him the ear buds that she had borrowed from him last night. "There, go blow your brains out with the sound." She then turned back to face her laptop.

SamuriKenny: Wow. Are we all secretly high, or does this mean something?

Katrina tried to lighten the mood a little, but ended up failing epicly. She walked away from her labtop momentarily to get a glass of Diet Coke. She sipped it a little at a time, making it last as long as it could before it got flat.

Allie waited silently for a response, staring with her gaze completely fixed on the computer screen. This is really strange... She'd completely forgotten about her breakfast, sitting beside her, her toast getting cold, milk getting warm.

K_KAT905: i'm sure its nothing. Maybe we've just spent too much time on our computers? Anyways, dreams are dreams, they have no meaning....right? Oh I wish that techy dude was logged on, he might have an idea. Oh, what was his username again? I can never remember.

She pulled out her iphone, feeling its vibrating alarm going off. Hmm time to check my dragon eggs.... She tapped the app on her phone and it pulled up the familiar brown screen with the map.
