Spiritsong approached the kit and Rivermist. "I'll need you to move the kit on its side a bit so I can get the herbs around the broken leg," she told the queen.

The kit struggled to scoot away from Rivermist, not liking the closeness. She mewed loudly again.

Rivermist gently nudged the kit towards Spiritsong with her nose. Rubykit felt unasy about the new kit and started mewling loudly while Rivermist tried to shush her.

Spiritsong carefully began wrapping the herbs around the kit's leg, trying to manage it as gently as possible.

The kit screeched and struggled away from Spiritsong, hobbling on three shaky legs.

"Sush," Rivermist mewed softly to the kit. She gently touched its back with her nose, trying to get it to lay down.

The kit bucked and kicked at Rivermist and managed to make it to the next nearest cat, Thalia. She bumped into Thalia's paw and fell.

Jewelfire stared at the kit, frightened that it may hurt itself more by its frantic movements. She urged her kits closer to her, hoping they wouldn't get hit by her blows.

Rivermist sighed. "Spiritsong, you may have to give it some poppy seeds," She mewed, remembering the samll black seeds that put cats to sleep.

Thalia lifted her head slightly to look at the kit. "Hush now," she meowed in a soothing voice. "Be careful."

Spiritsong sighed. "I suppose so. I brought one, just it case I'd need it..." She picked up the tiny black seed.

Rivermist reached out her paw, scooping up the little kit. She pushed it gently towards Spiritsong, trying not to hurt it any more.

Snowtail walked up to Sparkstorm and Thornheart just as they were getting ready to leave. "Room for one more?" She asked.

The kit managed to look towards Thalia and mew once more before she went quiet. She sat quietly, trying to stay like that.

Shineeye licked her paw. Two little black dots had grown hard as the bite marks had begun to scab up. She was glad that they would soon be gone and she'd be able to hunt and fight again. The scratches on her leg had already healed and were quite pleasant as they didn't hurt anymore.

Sparkstorm nodded and meowed, "Sure."

Spiritsong gently moved the poppy seed up to the kit's small mouth. "Here, eat this..."

"Then we should get going now, while the shadows are still long and the wind is low." She meowed gesturing to the position of the sun, which was beginning to sink, with her tail. In MossClan this was when cats started waking up, unlike here where cats where starting to go to their nests.

"Fine. Come on, then." Sparkstorm trotted out of camp without a glance at the other two cats.

Spiritsong sighed impatiently. "It will make you feel better..."

The kit blinked, continuing staring at her, challenging her.

"Well your friendly." Snowtail meowed trotting between the two cats.

Spiritsong scowled. "Eat it or I'll pin you down and get these herbs onto you," she growled. "I don't care that you're a kit."

Thalia blinked. "That's not the way to get a kit to eat something. Will you please just eat it so she'll be nicer?" the queen mewed to the kit.

Sparkstorm snorted, but didn't respond.

The kit looked to Thalia and opened her mouth and at the seed. She chewed/swallowed carefully and slowly. Her eyes began to droop

Spiritsong sighed. "Thank you, Thalia. I'm just not used to dealing with kits much." She gently tried wrapping her herbs around the kit's broken leg.

Thalia smiled slightly and nodded.

Snowtail let her ears rotate back and forth, scanning the area for the smallest of sounds. She hadn't hunted in a group before, well at least not in FrostClan.
