Moonpelt and Ivyfeather's Journey to Happiness

Ok, this is a one-on-one with me and Chibi, about Moonpelt and Ivyfeather feeling incomplete, going to mountains, and finding tribe cats. There will be other things too :3 Read on and find out! If you intrude I will claw your face off!

Moonpelt padded back to camp, making sure Bearpelt didn't see. She left her prey buried underneath thin layer of dirt. She was looking for Ivyfeather, for some reason.

Ivyfeather sighed and rested her head on her paws. I guess that's it then......

Moonpelt padded over to Ivyfeather, glancing around nervously. "Ivyfeather, do you feel...incomplete?" she asked.

Ivyfeather looked up at Moonpelt. Anyone could look in her sharp, green eyes and see the emptiness and in-completion in them. "Why do you ask?" she asked, confused.

"I don't know....something drew me to ask you. I've been feeling like there's something more waiting for me, just out of reach. How about you?" She mewed. Why am I confiding all this to a warrior I barely know? she asked herself.

Ivyfeather stood up. "Yeah....I do." The calico looked out into the mountains in the far distance. They seemed to be calling for her.
Come, Poison........join us.......
As creepy as it sounded, she wasn't scared. She felt at ease. Her sister was safe, her friend was raising a family, and her father was no more. She knew her mother was proud, in Starclan. Ivyfeather knew her work was done. But still, something felt missing. Something big. "Do you hear the mountains......calling for you?" she asked, still looking at the mountains.

"Yes, I've had dreams. They call be Moon That Reflects Off the Night Water.......they beckon," Moonpelt mewed, staring at the mountains, too. She nervously sheathed and unsheathed her claw. "Do you think.....do you think we should go?" She asked, looking straight into Ivyfather's green eyes.

Ivyfeather looked at her. "They call me Poison that strangles peace.........I'll go.......if I know what the place is first." she said.

"I don't think it matters what it is....I don't thing Starclan is beckoning us either. Something else is drawing us to this place, and I can't ignore it. I'm setting out within the next hour," Moonpelt meowed, a determined look on her face, mixed with longing that clouded her eyes. "Nobody must notice," she whispered.

(Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore —
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visiter," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door —

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December;
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; — vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow — sorrow for the lost Lenore —
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore —
Nameless here for evermore.

And the silken, sad, uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me — filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating
"'Tis some visiter entreating entrance at my chamber door —
Some late visiter entreating entrance at my chamber door; —
This it is and nothing more."

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
"Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you" — here I opened wide the door; ——
Darkness there and nothing more.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "Lenore?"
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, "Lenore!" —
Merely this and nothing more.

Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
"Surely," said I, "surely that is something at my window lattice;
Let me see, then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore —
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore;—
'Tis the wind and nothing more!"

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately Raven of the saintly days of yore;
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door —
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door —
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
"Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nightly shore —
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!"
Quoth the Raven "Nevermore."

Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
Though its answer little meaning — little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blessed with seeing bird above his chamber door —
Bird or beast upon the sculptured bust above his chamber door,
With such name as "Nevermore."

But the Raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing farther then he uttered — not a feather then he fluttered —
Till I scarcely more than muttered "Other friends have flown before —
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."
Then the bird said "Nevermore."

Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
"Doubtless," said I, "what it utters is its only stock and store
Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful Disaster
Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore —
Till the dirges of his Hope that melancholy burden bore
Of 'Never — nevermore'."

But the Raven still beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird, and bust and door;
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore —
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt, and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking "Nevermore."

This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamp-light gloated o'er,
But whose velvet-violet lining with the lamp-light gloating o'er,
She shall press, ah, nevermore!

Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.
"Wretch," I cried, "thy God hath lent thee — by these angels he hath sent thee
Respite — respite and nepenthe, from thy memories of Lenore;
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe and forget this lost Lenore!"
Quoth the Raven "Nevermore."

"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil! — prophet still, if bird or devil! —
Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted —
On this home by Horror haunted — tell me truly, I implore —
Is there — is there balm in Gilead? — tell me — tell me, I implore!"

"Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!" I shrieked, upstarting —
"Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken! — quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"
Quoth the Raven "Nevermore."

On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,

"You're right.....I'm going." Ivyfeather said, simply.

(I can picture this song playing during moments of Ivyfeather's life.

"Let's go now. There's no point in wasting time. I still have a piece of prey buried in the forest, let's eat it before we go. If anyone asks, we're going hunting," Moonpelt mewed dutifully, starting to pad towards the entrance of camp.

Ivyfeather nodded and followed. Well, might as well start a conversation..... "So...you're gonna be a grandmother, huh? It's either really good, or really bad." she mewed.

"Depends on if you want to be a grandmother or not. To some cats, it makes them feel old. To other cats it makes them feel a sense of accomplishment. Overall, I'm glad," moonpelt mewed, slipping into the woods without anyone noticing. She immediatly set out for the prey she buried, watching for Bearpelt.

"You're right....I can tell i'm going to be an aunt soon......my sister is....well......... never mind." she said. "I think Rustclaw's really happy to be a father...." Damn it, Ivyfeather, you need to make things less akward!!! Maybe if you do something cool, it'll stop the awkwardness. Ivyfeather thought for a minute. She jumped up on her hind legs and tried to do a flip, but failed and fell straight on her ass. OWWWW!!

Moonpelt chuckled a little. She dug up the pice of prey. "Hungry? That fall looked pretty tiring," She meowed, smiling.

Ivyfeather laughed, nervously. "Yeah." She tore a chunk off the piece of prey and quickly ate it.

(I think...it's a shrew)

Moonpelt snickered again. She tore another chunk off the tasty shrew, rolling her eyes. She smiled as the the wonderful flavors of the prey entered her mouth.

Aang appears and bitch slaps both cats. "How could you kill and eat one of life's creatures!?!?!" he shrieks.

Ivyfeather glanced at the mountains, then at Moonpelt. You ready to go?" she asked.

"Yeah, let's go," Moonpelt mewed. But before she left, she sprang up and clawed Aang's face off She headed towards the mountains with determination gleaming in her eyes.

"Damn." Aang said, simply.

Ivyfeather smiled and followed. My life's about to change......hopefully for the better.......

(GTG. on their way to the mountains should they go through large farm fields or twolegplace?)

Moonpelt looked at the mountains. She had no idea how much time it would take to get there. "Wich way should we go? Twolegplace or those fields?" she asked.

(the fields....or the twoleg place; it doesn't matter to me.)

Moonpelt decided for her. "The fields. Twolegs are craxy, and there aren't as many that way. And not so many rats," She meowed, padding towards the rolling fields.

"Coolio....Hey, has Frostclan always been like this?" Ivyfeather asked, curiously.

"No, not at all. Thing were much better before Bane And all the fucked up mate drama that I got dragged into after Moonoodle sparked it in my mind ," Moonpelt mewed. "Our only problem was Falmeclan, and the ocassional badger or fox." She sighed, nostalgic for the days when they battled Flameclan.
