Ivypaw padded away. When she knew she was out of sight, she began to sneak through the trees. Well done Ivypaw, get him to be ashamed and WAM, follow him!, she thought, diviously.

A completely undetectable shadow sped through the trees, hopping from branch to branch without making a sound. Its eyes scanned the tom below intently.

Smelling the Alley on him, it immediately knew he had been there, and was obviously returning. The shadow was off as quick as it got there.

Copper snarled as she got cobwebs tangled in her fur. "¡Maldita sea!(damn)" She looked up and around. "Ella dijo que él viene aquí.(She said he comes here)" She mumbled. She jumped onto the nearest roof and peered down into the forest.

Thornpaw padded away, satisfied that Ivypaw and Shinepaw would go back to camp. He padded quickly, and easily reached the Frostclan border. He neared the vast brick wall that marked the beginning of the Alley's. He sniffed, but it was strange, he couldn't smell Mercury, only her stale scents. He glanced around cursorily.

Copper sighed when she saw the tabby come into view. "¿Qué voy a decirle.(What can I say?)" she meowed. She sat on the roof for a while as she thought how to put her words. "Naw I'm good, just my sisters been missing for the last few days. Yeah THAT'LL WORK" she growled. She looked down at the waiting tom. "Well, here I go." She sighed. She jumped onto the roof and onto the ground, going slowly so she didn't startle him.

"Hey, copper!" Thornpaw said spotting her. He quickly padded over to her. He glanced behind her, expecting to see Mercury. "Mercury's not with you?" he asked, confused.

Ivypaw followed Thornpaw, to the Frostclan border. She was so excited, but was worried about how he would react to her for following him. Finally! Something different! Ivypaw saw a strange she-cat padding up to the tom. What tha?

Copper swallowed nervously. "I.. I do not have the right words... Mercury is missing. Sh-she did not return from taking you home last time." She meowed rubbing her paw over her face so she wouldn't have to meet his eyes..

Thornpaw's jaw dropped. he gaped at her in surprise and alarm. "Sh-She's not dead is she?" Thornpaw couldn't help but blame himself. Copper had said, she didn't return from taking him home last time. It was his fault, if she hadn't had to take him home. Then she wouldn't be missing, she wouldn't be...dead...

Ivypaw's heart filled with sorrow for the tom. She could tell from his expression that it was someone he cared about. Poor guy......poor, poor guy...........

"You have said the words I am to afraid to say.. You met our brother Steel? He is on the scouting party searching for her... they are not hopeful. But.. but Mercury is strong, she would not go down without a fight. So until I see proof with my own eyes I will believe she is alive." Copper meowed, she felt better for saying the words. "I would tell you to go home, but I don't think you would listen to me."

Thornpaw nodded, he flicked his tail "Let us search for her." he said, glancing up towards the alley's. "I refuse to believe that Mercury has passed on. We must find her."

Ivypaw's eyes narrowed and she smiled rottenly. "I was born in a group that was known for their bloodlustly strength. I was a rogue for 6 moons, fighting off foxes and groups of deadly cats. And I have a killer beast on my side. Trust me, I can handle it.", she mewed cooly. She turned to Thornpaw. "Did you honestly think I wouldn't follow you. What do you take me for? A weak she-cat that always listens to toms? That may be my sister, but not me."
