FrostClan: A Dark Tomorrow

"Suuure, you did. I'll just be over here, following the smell of pigeon." He grinned and padded away, indeed following the scent of pigeon. He pounced, taking it in the air and being very pleased with himself as he buried it.

(FrostClan borders didn't get marked... somehow end up in their territory and scarring the crap out of Engimapaw?)

Havengaze mused a quick goodbye to Mossclan tom as Pollendust and Muskflutter dragged her away after Shadowmire towards their own territory, disappearing out of the lush green into the dry, fawn landscape of the Boulderclan territory.

The three Flameclan inbred siblings sat watching over the sleeping Onyxpaw. Runeprayer had ordered Dunedaze and his sister, Miragespell, to make sure the young cat didn't keel over. The twin tailed warriors had also come to check up on their older brother, Fusionfire, fearing for his life because of his infected temple wound.

"I with thath our Flamecthan kin couthd be here for you, Futhionfire." murmured the white she-cat with flashy green eyes.

"I know Miragespell, now shush. I'm fine...and you know that since mother brought us here, Flameclan has never accepted us," replied the older ginger tom wisely, his eyes sorrowful for his younger sister with her speech impediment.

The light brown and red tabby tom, Dunedaze, licked his sister's ear affectionately, his crossed blue eyes blind to his sister and brother's saddened looks. "At least we're welcome here in Boulderclan."

(Yes,those three cats had the same mother, but Miragespell and Dunedaze's father was their mother's brother while Fusionfire's father was a normal warrior. I know, but it happens sometimes.)

Blazepaw rolled his eyes and took off after the sudden smell of another mouse. It noticed him and started making a mad dash in an effort to save itself. "Aw, you're not gonna get away from me this time!" He sprinted after the creature, straight towards Frostclan territory.

(Direct sibling inbreeding WOULD get her kicked out.)

Greenpaw took down a vole, buried it and then took off after Blazepaw. Though this time he too missed the scent markers,(which had not been properly renewed for a few days) and dashed straight into the territory, no warriors out to chase them away.

(I figured as much.....What it Deltapaw was with her best buddeh??)

(Lol, Greenpaw(10 1/2) and Blazepaw(9 moons) would scare them by mistake, and it will be glorious)

Greenpaw caught up with his cousin, neither of them yet aware they had crossed the border. Too busy joking and hunting to notice the change of scenery. Heading straight to that ancient place near to the river...

"Aaw yeah!" Shouted Blazepaw, snagging a mouse and accidentally flinging it through the bushes. It landed smack dab in the middle of a tiny, now girly looking camp, and was followed by Blazepaw. "RRRAARRGH!" He yelled at the mouse. "GOTCHYAAAAAAAAWUH!"

Greenpaw charged after him.

Scuffling in the old, rotten den, Deltapaw struggled out of the den through the roots, a mouse clamped in her jaw. "Caught another," she mumbled through the mass of fur. The blueish whites of her eyes glowed brightly as the sun went down, enhancing her impaired vision drastically. She could see clearly now the rain has gone and her keen senses from fear allowed her to track well, though she was oblivious to the new scents approaching.

(Damn, ninja'd)

Enigmapaw was frozen for a second, and then began to back away slowly, shaking like a leaf. "D-don't h-hurt me, Mr. M-monster G-guy..." She muttered, scared beyond measure by the tom's sudden appearance.

(( I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW THE RAIN IS GONE ))

Greenpaw skidded to a stop, just behind Blazepaw. "Oh... StarClan... we crossed the border Cuz" He meowed, strangely greenish fur looking eerie in the muted light. "Ah.. don't be scared.. We didn't mean to startle you." He added, pitching his voice to a gentler tone, covering up his natural rasp.

Deltapaw nearly sprang out of her skin, leaping backwards next to her best friend, throwing the mouse at Greenpaw. "EEKKKKK! Here, just take it! TAKE IT!!" She then began to sob, shaking with her large brown eyes on the two toms. Omigosh, we're gonna die! We're gonna die!!!

"Maybe we can outrun them!" Yelled Enigmapaw, sobbing at this point. "Go! Go!" She started backing up faster now.

Blazepaw took a step forward, not meaning to seem threatening, but that's what it looked like. "Hey, I'm not gonna hurt ya. Just calm down."

"Look we didn't mean to come here, the scent markers where old and we missed them. look my cousin caught this in your territory, it belongs to you." Greenpaw meowed, moving Blazepaw's mouse towards them and gave a tail flick that told his -STUPID- cousin to stop moving. He backed up a few steps and sat down, trying to appear non-threatening.

Deltapaw shrieked, tripping backwards and landing on her rump. She looked up at the looming tom silently, her sparkling eyes shining with horror. "P-please.....please, don't lie. I-if you are going to kill us...please do it quickly!" However, every moment that passed, she felt a little less frightened.

Enigmapaw began to calm down, but was backed away as far as she possibly could be and was shivering from the shock.

"We will.. wait... Why do you think we want to kill you?" Greenpaw asked, curiosity getting the better off him. "Even if we wanted to,we don't by the way, it would be against the warriors code. We'd disappoint our ancestors." He meowed, raspy voice back to it's usual pitch.

Deltapaw scrambled to her paws. "W-wait! You cats f-follow the original version of the Warrior Code? Shadderpaw says that Mossclan took over the forest, but Frostclan believed they were too good for the crowd s-so they created a new code."

Greenpaw sat back on his haunches and sighed.

"MossClan may basically rule us all but they can't stop us from following the code our clan was built on.

1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.

2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.

3. Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.

4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.

5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.

6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.

7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.

8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires or is exiled.

9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.

10. A Gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.

11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.

12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.

13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.

14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his/her battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.

15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet."

He smiled as he recited the code. "We have had to change a few of them, like the word of the clan leader is law? FlameClan scrapped that years ago, any cat is allowed to stand up and second guess the leader. We also got rid of number 15, cause we need more cats in our clan."

(So...are they both from Flame, or is one from there and the other from Moss? Cuz I is confused)

Deltapaw felt her face form a smile,though she was not sure why, but for some reason, it seemed the two tom were different. At least, different from the toms she was used to. They're much nicer than Hellspire and Shadowcore. "Wow.....T-the name's Deltapaw. W-what's yours?" She had sat down, flicking her tail to Enigmapaw.

Enigmapaw still stood behind Deltapaw, cowering in fear, though she was significantly less nervous.

"I'm Greenpaw, and this dunderhead is my younger cousin Blazepaw. We're both from FlameClan and we really are sorry we wandered onto your territory." He meowed, a friendly smile onto his face.
