(Kayzers!) The she cat got up and looked him in the eyes, her gaze softening. "Why you....she isn't here anymore, is she? Poor dearie..." She walked over and licked Thornpaw's head. She could feel her motherly instinct kicking in. She sat by the small tom, curling her tail around him. "Here, allow me to lend you some of my warmth in this frozen land." She began to purr softly.

Thornpaw growled at the cat, anger and confusion flooding him. He padded away from the cat, and turned to face it, his tail lashing angrily "Don't touch me." he growled, his claws slid out of his paws. He wouldn't let anyone replace his mother!

"It's Riverpaw" Riverpaw whispered, looking at Ivy. She held back a hiss when she heard what the she-cat was saying.

The she-cat nodded and meowed,"I am very sorry." Her eyes grew somber. "I know how you feel for I have also lost my kits. Nothing can fill the gap that must lie in your heart. The same darkened pit is within me where all of my kin have fled to the land of spirits." She turned and meowed,"Stay strong, young one. And keep love ones close.....for you do not wish to lose all that you have." She began to walk away.

Thornpaw growled softly, his claws slowly sheathed "Wait!" he yowled.

Mother. It was a beatiful word to Ivy. It meant everything. Happiness.Laughter.Saddness.Death.Hate...........Rain was pouring down hard. Fear filled the air. Mother,sister,and,Ivy were in the den. Terrified. We knew Daddy would be home soon. A good thing? Not at all. Daddy hated us. Mommy said he used to be good, but now he beats us. Mommy protects us from him, but she gets hurt. He was home. Sissy started to shake. Mommy started to cry. Insanity filled his eyes. It's been this way ever since his little sister died......

Riverpaw no longer felt angry at the she-cat. She felt bad for her and wanted to comfort her.

The she-cat stop and looked at Thornpaw with a soft, glowing gaze. "Yes....."

"Who are you? Thornpaw asked, licking down his chest fur.

Riverpaw anticipated the she-cat's answer. Who is she? Riverpaw wondered.

Ivy blinked. The horrible memory flashed away. Then back again........We were at the cliff. daddy held Ivy and Lavender over the cliff. He was laughing hystaricly. He hated us because his sister died for us. She saved us from foxes, but died doing it. I wish i had a normal daddy like my friends. Because daddy was leader he could do whatever he wanted. I knew i was going to die. Mommy's here!!! She just knocked daddy down. She told us to run.I took one look back and saw that mommy fell and dragged daddy with her!!! Mommmyyyyy!!!!!!

The she-cat sat down and meowed,"Well.....my name hasn't been uttered in many moons.....but I remember it well. Thy name is Equestria." Her gentle green eyes looked at her paw as she licked the snow off of it. "Yes...that was my name..."

(is the she-cat Thornpaw's lost sister, Cloud?)

Riverpaw blinked. She couldn't imagine what losing kits felt like but remembered the pain of losing Pheasantpaw.

(Nope......just thought I'd make a new character..Now to make her a form )

(( No...Cloud would be too young to have had kits by now, since shes the same age as Thornpaw..and her names Equestria....))

Thornpaw nodded slowly, he had calmed down significantly, but more confusion than ever flooded through him. "I-I'm Thornpaw." He said stuttering, he licked his chest fur once more.

Riverpaw thought of the she-cat's name, Equestria. What a strange thing to be called.. She thought.

Equestria smiled at the small cat and mewed softly,"Little Thornpaw...why do you lick your chest so? It seems as if you seem stressed.......confused.....frightened?"

I thought Thornpaw didn't like to hear sob stories., Ivy thought curiously

Thornpaw narrowed his eyes "You can leave now." he said coldly.

Riverpaw just stared at the two cats. Equestria seemed like she cared about Thornpaw but didn't know him. Thornpaw seemed very confused.

Equestria dipped her head to Thornpaw and stood where she sat in the snow. "Farewell Thornpaw.....Farewell until we meet again...." She began to leave, disappearing into the trees, though her voice still wafted through the air. [i]Farewell.....farewell little one....."

Riverpaw padded out of the bushes, trying not too make any noise. She went back into camp and lie down in the apprentice's den.

He looks so helpless and confused......poor guy.,Ivy thought.

She came out of the bushes.

Riverpaw thought about Equestria and Thornpaw. Where did she come from? Does she know Thornpaw? Riverpaw wondered.
