Frostclan: Stay Out of the Shadows -OFFICIAL-

Thornpaw was already in the woods when Rust yelled, so he didn't hear him. Thornpaw sniffed, trying to find prey. He had his own personal rule, as much food as he ate from the fresh-kill pile, he would try to put double that amount in the fresh kill pile, if not he would at least put back as much as he ate. Thornpaw sniffed trying to find the scent of prey, the only prey he could smell though were all burrowed in their dens.

"I'm so sorry.",she said and walked away.

How can she let him talk to her like that[i]?, Ivy thought to herself.

Thornpaw padded around silently, looking for prey. He head a small scuttling sound turned his head to face it. He could see the twitching tail of a bent over squirrel. Thornpaw dropped into the hunter's crouch and silently crept toward it, he was lucky enough to already be down wind of it. He crept forward silently, closing the distance, he was only two fox lengths from it now. He crept forward, his forepaw's leading the way, and his hind-legs came after him slowly.

His eyes were intent on his prey. As he set his left hind-paw down, a cracking sound rang out, Thornpaw froze. His foot had crushed a twig that had been hidden underneath the snow. The squirrel stood up ears perked, than a split second later broke into a sprint. Thornpaw's hind-legs kicked off and he raced after in pursuit. As he ran, dodging around trees he wondered why the squirrel wasn't running up any of them. He didn't let his mind wander though, and chased the squirrel, he was slowly gaining on it now.

As he glanced up form the squirrel he saw its goal, a small hole burrowed into a tree, its home, Thornpaw guessed. He sped up more running as fast a she could, he gained more. Finally the squirrel was only a tail length away, but the tree was only a fox-length away. Time seemed to slow down, and Thornpaw leaped at the squirrel, his claws unsheathed. He felt fur against his front-paws, and the exhilaration of triumph rushed through him than was washed away a moment later when his claws slipped though the thick furry tail of the squirrel. Thornpaw crashed against the tree as time returned to normal speed and the squirrel scampered up the trunk, towards its home.

Honeykit was padding around camp, trying to help Spiritsong by fetching more moss and delivering prey to the queens and the injured. He carried a rat over to where Shinepaw was laying. She grumbled a thank you and began eating as the little gold cat left. He sat down to get himself something to eat. I guess we'll be eating rats until Petalmist's kits are born. Then she can go hunting again, catching tasty birds....But rats aren't as bad as Pheonixtalon thinks.

Thornpaw muttered something, probably a curse word, as he stood back up, his left fore-leg aching. He grunted, and licked it down, it soothed the pain a little as he continued wandering the winter wonderland.

A lithe white body slunk through the snow like an icy viper, graceful and slender. The cat's eyes glittered as snowflakes landed upon her nose. She gave a most charming chuckle, like a songbird's sweet call. She stood up on her hind legs and playfully batted at the falling snowy crystals. Her vision was stolen from the glittering sky as a brown bird fluttered by. Pigeon!

Minutes later, Thornpaw returned to camp with only a plump vole held between his jaws, it had grown fat to prepare for hibernation.

The she-cat used her strong back legs to spring into the sky, snatching one of the pigeon's wings and pulling it down, pinning on the ground. She then lifted her muzzle, catching Thornpaw's scent. "Huh? Another cat? Hmmmm...."

Jewelpaw shuffled in her nest, feeling uneasy.

Thornpaw smelled another cat's scent just as he was entering camp. Intruders? He dropped the vole and headed back out of camp, towards the scent. It smelled like only one cat, he could take care of it himself.

Stoneclaw boredly padded around the woods. He caught the scent of rat but didn't go after it. He didn't know how Lasiar and Agien could tell the difference between good and bad rats. I'll have to ask them sometime... Stoneclaw thought.

She buried the pigeon in the snow and continued tracking through the snow. Her heart seem light like air as she bounded around, sloshing in the snow. Again, a sweet laugh came from her maw as the snow flecked her back.

Thornpaw walked towards the scent of te cat. He could hear the sound of laughter up ahead as he crept forward.

Stoneclaw continued on until he finally caught the scent of a thrush. He crouched down and watched the small bird peck at a seed. He crouched and stalked it, his belly was cold from brushing against the snow. Stoneclaw sprang up and landed on the bird, killing it instantly. He took it back to camp and dropped it on the fresh-kill pile.

The she-cat paused her laughing and turned to look behind her. "Huh? Who's there?" Her voice was soft like silk.

Riverpaw bounded into the woods. She climbed a tree and rested on a low branch. Her tail flicked back and forth and she was purrring with content.

"Your on Frostclan territory." Thornpaw said, growling softly he stepped forward, his tail lashing.

The she-cat pouted cutely, mewing,"Awww well, I'm sorry about that. Why, you seem so young. What are you doing out here in the wild, away from your mother?" Her tail coiled and her eyes gazed warmly upon Thornpaw.

Jewelpaw grumbled and pawed at the moss in her nest.

Riverpaw perked her ears as she head laughter and then Thornpaw's voice. She opened her maw and smelled the scent of an unfamiliar cat. She quickly scampered down the tree and ran towards the scent.

Ivy didn't understand. Am i Ivypaw or just Ivy?

Riverpaw came across Thornpaw and a she-cat. "Who are you?!" She yowled, pointing at the she-cat.

(Don't find her just yet, ok? I want her to talk with Thornpaw first It'll be more clear later on)

Ivy was bored. She stepped out of the camp and into the forest. She walked for a while until she saw something.It's Thornpaw and a random cat?

Thornpaw was taken a bit off by the question and the friendliness almost radiating off the she-cat. He narrowed his eyes "That's none of your business." he growled.

Riverpaw crouched in some bushes a little way off from the she-cat and Thornpaw.

Ivy was in the bushes, watching. She turned to her side to find another cat in the bushes. "W-who's there?",she whispered.
