Side stories and sub-plots

Abel growled, pointing his finger at Laur. "Crow, feast upon that puny girl and the thunder rat on her shoulder!" His shaggy black hair covered his dim eyes, though the glow and jitteriness from the fight was clearly making him blood thirsty, like a murderous man who should spend the rest of their life in a mad house.

Crow seemed to ignore him trainer's wishes, though her did reply to him with,"As you wish, though its their hands I seek." At once, he vanished, his attack Shadow Sneak allowing him to travel through the spirit world as he pleased, moving him around to where he could reappearing the living world at any time or place. Though he wasn't seen, his distorted voice crackled loud overhead. "Destiny Bond!" A bright, blinding aura rained down from the blackened sky and dripped odd colored liquid onto all the pokemon surrounding the area, the liquid quickly soaking into their skin.

"Now Crow, use Pain Split! And Ren, hit Crow with one of your pleasant Trump Cards!"

The Absols suddenly sprung into action as the music stopped, each of them smashing into one of the visible Pokemon.

"Get your Absols out of the way." Jeremy growled. "Now it's personal." He pulled out a Pokeball and launched it towards the enemy. "ZEN, WILD DISCHARGE!" He screeched. The Luxray let loose a massive amount of electricity as he emerged from the Pokeball. It enveloped both friend and foe alike as the Luxray focused his power. One of the Absols fainted.

(Yes yes, however, His Pain split attack will cause major pain, if not causing faintage, to Zen and the others. TAKE EM ALL OUT IN BLOW!!! Including his own....)

Crow fell to the ground, the mouth on his belly gaping and longing for hands and blood trickled down the corners of its jaws. "You may have- Errr won this battle, but- Acckk! I'm the true victor!" He then was called back by Abel, who only twitched and eyebrow and put the Duskball away in his cloak.

Now that Crow had fainted, Ren decided to aim her Trump Card attack at Zen, just in cause the Pain Split hadn't completely finished him already. Her eyes ablaze, she roared in rage. Though everyone stated how unhealthy it, her attachment and obsession to Abel, along with her serious anger issues, she made it her top priority to please him and make sure she was loved more than everyone else, even though she knew Abel wasn't capable of love.

"ZEN!" Screamed Jeremy, springing forward. There was no way that the Luxray would be able to take the hit. The Absols were all unconscious at this point and he dashed straight for the Pokemon...

The Pikachu sitting on Laur's shoulder launched from his perch and shoved Jeremy to the ground with his momentum, jumping off of his head, as well. The small mouse Pokemon landed in front of Luxray, growling.

"Zingers, NO!" The girl shouted, lunging forward as the electric Pokemon took the attack for its friend.

(( YEAH, ZINGERS TOOK THE ATTACK SO THERE. He'll probably end up dead, since he was injured prior to the battle and he's really weak. He was the Pokemon burned in the fire. ))

"This is madness." Eva growled.

"NEMEAN RETURN, LEVI EARTHQUAKE, SCYLLA PROTECT." She called. If it was loud before then it was deafening now. The earth rumbled, cracked and rolled with the power of Leviathan the Swampert's earthquake, you should feel sorry for the flareon it was rushing for.

The Milotic -Scylla- rushed forward, lightning quick on the muddy ground, moving like a massive serpent, curling her body around the younger trainers and their pokemon and with a cry set up Protect around them.

(Levi and Scylla are her double battle pokemon. Scylla defence and Levi attack. Though Scylla does have a powerful dragon pulse.)

Giving a soft hmph, Abel turned and drew his hand up to his mouth to shield his yawn. His blood red eyes darted over to Eva, a dagger sharp canine hanging over his lower lip as he kept his face blank and emotionless. He redrew a beat up, old Pokeball and tossed it into the air. "You know what to do." he ordered, his eyes intent on nothing but the far horizon.

The capsule burst into a sharp beam of light and the sickly, pale Dragonite appeared. Lucifer's fanged maw opened wide, a dark spiral of shadow rainbow energy beginning to form, his lifeless eyes targeted on Scylla. Though he seemed to have no emotions nor thought process, almost completely brain dead, he was at least smart enough to wipe out the barrier and its keeper before wasting any more energy on the attacker whom he could have easily failed to hit.

Just as the dark beam erupt from the horrid creature's head, heading straight for the Milotic, Ren bounded backwards, her paw pads leaving skids of blood as she hurried over to her master. She whimpered in frustration, though everyone else could notice it was really out of pain. She was known for over-pushing herself during training, and straining her body until the pressure became too much for he. When this happened, or her anger got the best of her,her body would release the energy through the pores in her paws, causing excessive bleeding.

"You think Scylla's defence is easy to break?" Eva growled. The shining blue bubble still over the younger trainers Scylla opened her mouth again, but this time to release a Dragon pulse to counter the Dragonites attack.(I don't know what it is.)

At the same Eva called for Levi to 'aim for the wings' and watched as the Swampert shot an Ice Beam up into the sky, intending on bringing the dragon to the ground.

(Tag teams are dangerous.)

The Hyperbeam collided with the Dragon Pulse, an enormous outburst of chaotic energy incinerating the air around them as the Dragonite darted through the sky towards the pair of foes, long pikes of steel-hard ice jutting through his thick membrane wing, created more holes among the other scars, blood spurting in a trail through the sky after him.

As he neared the barrier, he made no effort to create an attack, and instead, used his skull to crack into the barrier. Though there was an extremely strong resistance, it was thanks that his body knew no pain nor suffering that he finally made it through, the top of his head smashing into the Milotic's, with a sickening crunch.

Scylla screeched, getting pushed back with the force of it. She angled her body so she wouldn't crush the trainers she was protecting. "Oh, your going down for that." The Milotic growled.

Levi launched himself forward and grasped the Dragonite's tail in powerful hands. He turned narrowed orange eyes on Abel, then turned back to where he had Lucifer trapped. "You should really just give up, but your not going too.. so" He growled. He opened his mouth, Ice Beam charging on his tongue.

Scylla shook off the headache creeping up on her and opened her mouth, Ice Beam of her own ready to fire.

Incapable of controlling a set speech pattern, Lucifer only stared lifelessly at the two pokemon in front of him, his black tinged fangs bared wide at Levi. Attempting to stop the attack, the sickly Dragonite's head moved slowly over to the Swampert's face and used his large maw to bite down onto the Water type's mouth, as if to swallow the blast if it pierced through Levi's closed lips. (I know, extremely awkward fighting position.) Swishing his large tail, he slammed into the pretty Water type who was also creating her own Ice Beam.

Shifting her paws in the blackened blood puddle, Ren's quivering, rage filled gaze darted to the start of the little bridge and a chill went down her spine, shock replacing the anger in her face. Y-you...?! Reflected upon the surface of her shining eyes was the form of a human body that she knew all too well.

".......Rayla......"

Levi took hold of Lucifer's face, baring blunt teeth as blood dripped from where the Dragonite's fangs had snapped shut on his maw. He kept a tight grip on Lucifer as Scylla quickly recovered to fire Icebeam at him again.

Eva-may fiddled with one of her Pokeball's, if this didn't stop the Dragonite... she'd just have to use Perish Song.


"It's like a bloody natural disaster hit this place, or multiple ones." Sacha said, pulling her goggles down over her eyes to protect them from the freezing wind that still raged. Titan growled at her side, sensing something off as they peered through the gale. "No... Freaking WAY." She gasped out, spotting her sister battling some other trainer.

Ren gave a sharp yip, her startled look fading into a sickened sneer, causing Abel to boredly turn around to look. "Oh. Well well Ren. It seems my baby sister has come to join the fray, has she not? Why Rayla!" The beginning of his speech was soft and to his pokemon, while the last part was to summon Rayla closer.

Rayla wore a shocked glare as she stumbled forward, jumping in surprise as the large Dragonite Lucifer flew from his spot in battle and landed between her and her brother. "Lu-Lucifer......Abel, what are you doing here in the Unova region?!"

"Why, I was waiting for you, of course. You see.....I've recovered an old friend of yours..."

Eva-May returned her Pokemon to her balls, glaring at the back of Abel's head. "We weren't done yet." She growled and took another Pokeball in her hand, but she stopped when she spotted Sacha going to stand behind Rayla. She cautiously walked forward, giving Abel and his Pokemon a wide berth and raising a hand in greeting to her sister.

Sacha nodded to her sister and spared her a quick smile before tightening her hand in Titan's neck. Titan, who was staring down Ren with a snarl on his face.

Snorting in a cheeky reply, Ren glared back at Titan. "Look, I have no quarrel with you mutt. So stand aside and mind your master." Veering her gaze back over to Rayla, she grinned and murmured,"Well well! Nice of you to show your face around here, little Miss Rayla Jade! I believe we have some unfinished business to tend to!" She rolled her tongue, tiny flints of fire sparking off of it as her eyes roared with fiery rage.

Rayla shifted on her feet, unsure about what it was her brother held that was dear to her. She knew full well that Abel was always pleased to cause her trouble, and he was very good at doing so. "A-Abel....." She flinched as Kitty roared beside her, but she knew her partner well, and how Kitty's roar was of fear, not courage. She turned to look at her Flygon, and her trembling causing the earth to shake made Rayla feel utterly sick. After all, Abel was the only opponent that Rayla ever lost to....every single time.

Abel gave a half-heartly grin, grim and creepy as his filed-sharp canine hung out of his lip. Chuckling softly, he drew an odd, worn Greatball from beneath his dark cloak and held it out to his younger sister. "You do remember her, don't you? Your once pride and joy?" His red eyes panned slowly down onto the capsule as he drew his finger over its rough surface. The rich, glossy royal blue coat was covered in black, crusty dried blood that chipped off as his finger grazed the top. Clicking the seeming jammed center button, the Greatball grew in size, making a sickening crunch as the dried blood peeled off, revealing traces of deep scratches across the once pretty surface. "Such festering hate and pain this pokemon has felt over the years. Oh how delicious a reunion shall be between the trainer and the trained. Ah, poor sweet sister, why do you tremble at the sight of your former partner? Is it guilt that you feel.......or fear?"

Titan growled and bared his teeth. "Mind yourself kid, I protect all my friends and I can tell you're trouble." He moved so his body was between. Both the trainers and Abel. There was a high pitched 'Reeeeeee' and the group was joined by Eva and Percival the altaria. Perry's wings were tipped with the same indigo colour his body was and he was about as tall as Sacha.

Sacha was inwardly greatful for her sisters presence, she felt they'd need her.

Rayla's gaze darted for a second over to Eva's Altaria, then back to her brother, the urge to fan-girl over the dragon type was drown out by horror. However, she was glad to have Sacha's presence there with her for what she was about to see.

Tossing the Greatball into the air, a blinding burst of light exploded into the area along with an ear-splitting scream of distasteful malice. Standing before the group was distorted Raichu, though it was clear she was once very pretty. Her lush burnt orange pelt was grimy and stained with black, with long chipped fangs jutting from her maw. Her ears were pinned back and notched with scars and her beady black eyes were glazed with hate as they became glued to Rayla, her limp, mangled tail twitching with lack of nerve control on the ground. In plain, she was a horrible sight.

"Why sister....haven't you missed Rai?"

Bother Sacha and Eva's faces twisted into a brief grimace but both quickly replaced it with a cool mask, the sisters had seen some bad things in their lives and this raichu wasn't even the worse of it. Perry spread his wings wide and fixed their foe with a sharp glare from inky black eyes and Titan bared his fangs, fire glinting behind them.

Once again Sacah was left wishing she'd brought Barrow with her, one earthquake from the Flygon would have ended this before it began.

Kitty stepped backward, a short squeak caught in her long throat as she grimaced, beads of sweat forming around her goggle-like eyes. Looking down at Rayla, she understood the problem that her trainer was facing. As much as she, Bellatrix, or Sierra wanted, Rayla wouldn't be able to fight Rai and that was that. "And to think Abel couldn't stoop lower than killing one of Rayla's hatchlings. Damn that man!"

Rai stumbled forward, her keen eyes intent of her old master. Without warning, she darted over, running on all fours faster than any raichu possible could, and slammed into Rayla's leg, knocking her down with a hard thud. Standing on her stomach, the Raichu glared down at the trainer who's fear ridden face was replaced by remorse. "You!! she screeched in a distorted voice, her darkened maw wide with jagged teeth. "It was you who left...." She then bit down on Rayla's right forearm.

Without crying out, Rayla drew one hand over the top of Rai's head and began stroking her, feeling the Raichu tense up beneath her palm. I'm am so sorry Rai, and you know it. I didn't want to, but it had to be done. After all....I didn't have the heart to put you down.

"Lies!"

Perry dislodged the raichu from Rayla's arm with a sweep of one soft but sturdy wing. Sacha quickly swept forward and pulled the dragon trainer to her feet before pushing her towards Eva who went to look at Rayla's arm. Titan and Sacha put themselves between the broken beaten Rai and their new friend, probably stupid, but that's what been brave is all about. Sacha looked at the Pokemon with pity.. she wondered if it would be better to put it down and get Rayla out of here. She spared a glance at Titan, the scars across his face looking so much less now.

"I was hoping we'd end this easily." Jeremy gripped a Pokeball at his belt. His last one, his trump card.

And it wasn't even his.

Tears were streaming down his face as he nodded at Laur, who suddenly was possessed with an extreme wave of anger. She did the same, grabbing a particular Pokeball on her belt.

"Muire entrusted us with-" Jeremy spoke first, pulling the Pokeball out and pressing the button.

"One Pokemon each for..." Laur did the same.

"Self-defense, you could say."

( Unlike your guys' characters, my main character is more powerful than my side characters. But only because she's been with her Pokemon for years and they all love her and will do anything for her. Since she trusted these two with them, they'll listen to them, too. THAT'S HOW MUCH THEY LOVE HER YAY

Abel snapped his fingers and his Dragonite readied a Hyperbeam at Perry, getting prepared for shot it down to collect Rai, his lifeless eyes intent on the sorry burnt orange creature. The shady man glared at his sister with his blood red eyes and gave a smug grin, reply,"That isn't like you Rayla, depending on others to pull your sorry ass off the dusty ground. Honestly, you must have gotten weaker since our last visit. Such a shame really; I thought maybe you'd stand as a bit of a challenge by now, but I guess I was expecting too much of you. Anyways, I believe I'll be going. As for you Eva-May, I must say I'm glad to have been allowed a through examination of your current skills; I'll be looking forward to our next battle." Glancing annoyingly towards Jeremy and Laur, he added with a distasteful sneer,"And hopefully next time, we won't have any pesky insects intruding."

With that, Abel snapped and Lucifer released his attack, blasting down the Raichu in charred mess of energy. As she fell through the sky, the Dragonite caught Rai in his gaping, mangle jaws and took flight, Abel leaping high into the air and grabbing on the dragon type's leg with Ren grasped in his arm, following a similar leaping pattern to Rayla's when she leaped onto Kitty midair in the past.

Rayla allowed Eva to study her arm as she watched her brother disappear into the sky, knowing it wouldn't be that last time she would him or Rai. "Looking at the damage to the surrounding area, I can tell he didn't use Aria.....Poor girl. She was the only one with any sense..." she mumbled softly, her eyes forming small tears. Damn you Abel!

"Well the damage wasn't entirely his fault." Eva said, somewhat sheepishly. She gestured to the torn road and the melting piles of snow. She pronounced Rayla's injury superficial and went to collect her bag from where it sat, relatively unharmed, near the lake. She turned around to see Sacha cleaning her friends arm and bandaging it up. It had been a while since Sacha had had a proper friend and despite today's events it made her smile. "Let's find somewhere, not destroyed, to sit down." She said

Sacha sighed at her sisters words. "You go sit down... and I'm not patronising you... I'm just worried." She said and left Rayla to her sisters tender care. She walked over to the two young trainers and pushed her goggles of her face so they could see her eyes. "So, who are you?" She asked, Titan 'ruffed' at her side and stared up at them.

Percival beat his wings angrily and a small hissing sound escaped him as Abel 'escaped.' To use such a dirty trick on ones on kin was a horrifying thought to the noble pokemon and letting him get away was close to a crime. He shook his head and turned his attention back to the trainers, noticing Eva looking for a place to sit.

"Shh, you'll be okay." Jeremy hugged his little sister as she knelt beside the still form of her Pikachu. The Jolteon and Mightyena got to work clearing debris around the area, using extremely powerful forces to toss away the chunks of rubble as if they were balls of paper. "Muire's on her way. Stay here with Wolvar, he'll keep you safe." The Mightyena turned from his work and nodded, sitting protectively by the girl while they waited for their friend.

"Merrik, with me." He called to the Jolteon, picking up the electric type Pokemon as it trotted up to him. Turning, he joined the other trainers. "Who the hell was that guy and what did you two have to do with him?"

Rayla looked up and charged over to Jeremy, her eyes burning with sour tears."That was my brother and what do you have to do with him? If you were smart, you would have just walked away before that monster left such an impression on you." As she spoke her last sentence, her eyes traveled down to the laying Pikachu. Flicking her gaze back up, she mumbled,"He's evil, to kill off Aria......" She then sniffled and sank to her knees, sobbing messily.

Kitty lurched forward and nervously sniffed at her trainer, this being only the second time she'd ever seen Rayla in such a sorry state during their training. "Normally, every time she sees Abel, she ends up acting weird, but this time its different. Maybe because....errrk...I don't know." She shook her massive head and looked up, seeing Percival and adding in a light tone,"Oooo! You look a lot like Blizzard, except for those royal blue markings!! Blizzard's a much paler blue with pinky cheeks, though she's scary strong. Are you scary strong too? I never knew something that looks like a fluffy bird could be such a powerful dragon at the same time. Even Lance's Altie is uber powerful!"
