FrostClan: A Dark Tomorrow

"And that cat would be?" Emeraldeye meowed sarcastically, already irritable enough from leaf-bare's prey and herb shortages. He spread the poultice on the wound and looked Blueshard in the eyes.

Blueshard shook his head and came closer to him. "You cannot tell anyone this, especially Harrierstar. It'll start a war, but Quartzprickle and I were attacked by a group from (insert clan here cause I cannot remember the name of it.)"

(It was Boulderclan.)

"More Boulderclan trouble? I doubt it would start a war..Actually, we might be able to use it as leverage. Their leader last a life to one of our warriors, but they ruthlessly attacked one of our she-cats! The Clan you came from must have odd standards," Emeraldeye meowed, his eyes shining. He would see if Starclan said anything about it when he visited them. "I must go now. Rest today!" He called as he dashed from camp, heading to where he would meet Epicstep and Runeprayer on the way.

Blueshard dipped his head and mewed his thanks before returning to a side of the camp and sighing as he sat down. These cats had no idea about his old clan, how different it was from it to this clan.

A group of three cats were slowly making their way along the edge of their territory, readily themselves to cross their border to make the journey to the Moonstool.

One was a very thickset, nearly obese tom with a soft, silver tabby pelt and bright amber-orange eyes. He wore a friendly grin. Beside him was a short, stout, yet somewhat lithe solid brown tom without any marking to bring any attention from his lovely, mud-colored coat. He had the purest, rich blue eyes that glistened with the sheen of innocence.

Then there was Runeprayer, scuffling her tinted muzzle into a small grove of nettle. It wasn't a nice silver, but more like a displeasing, ashy grey that licked around the nose and mouth of the dark colored she-cat who's crimson eyes glowed dimly in the dark.

(Mew, can we have a bit with blueshard and Quartz?)

Quartzprickle was laid out on the Sun Slab, the dark palette of limestone retaining a bit of the sun's warmth from earlier in the day. With a sigh, she gently dabbed her tongue at a little puddle that had formed beside her head from a small pile of snow melting slowly on the stone's surface. Though it was fresh, crisp, and clean, there was a kit-taste to it, proving that the little pile hadn't been put their by the wind, but rather by the down soft paws of the clan's future. Ignoring that it tasted of many sorts of things that older cats would have otherwise not touched, she lapped at it quickly before laying her chin down, the bottom of her muzzle and neck goosebumping up from the touch of warmth in the chilling breeze.

Blueshard noticed that Quartzprickle seemed to be off on her own. He blinked and decided to go talk to her. Hesitantly he approached her, still not sure about what reaction he might get.

The thick-boned she-cat yawned, stretching her long, white limbs out into the air before pulling them back and tucking them beneath her body. She then noticed Blueshard and blinked, as if to allow him over be her on the Sunning Slab. "Guess you're here to soak up the last bit of warmth for the night? I don't blame ya."

Blueshard shrugged. "Not really, Just saw you sitting over here, figured you might want to talk to somebody."

Quartzprickle smirked and scoffed,"Me? Wanting to talk to somebody? And that somebody being you? Wow, that's hysterical! Hahah! Nah nah, I'm sorry!" She chuckled aloud for a little bit before she noticed a little moth fluttering over, lightly flicking it with the tip of her tail. "Now why in all the world would you want to come and talk to me? What, you have some little kit-crush on me or something?!" Her eyes gleamed in a joking manner, the she-cat had obviously had a pretty good day unlike the usual.

He chuckled, liking her sarcastic humor. "Could be. I could still just be a little kit inside." He dips his head. "Actually, no, I did have something important to talk to you about."

Quartzprickle lowered her laughter to a stop and meowed in a more serious tone,"Well, go on then." Her flickering tail lay flat and silent, her paws curling inward to her soft, fluffy white chest, icily keen eyes on the tom.

He nodded. "I told Emeraldeye what really happened.... I didn't really have much choice."

Quartzprickle shrugged. "So? I tell Emeraldeye lots of things. And he's got my back on all of it. I wouldn't worry." There was a slight smile on the she-cat's face. She thought it was actually kind of cute how the full grown tom beside her looks so nervous for nothing. "Now, its getting late. Have anything else to say before I head to my nest?" She stood up, looking down at him.

He shrugged. "Not really. I don't think I'll be getting any sleep tonight. So, I guess have a good rest..?"

Quartzprickle nodded to Blueshard and leaped off the high, smooth surface, landing with a soft crunch in the snow, then gently made her way through the clearing towards the hunters' den, giving the Nursery a quick sniff as she passed it by before disappearing into the dark den where her other huntress companions lay sleeping.

Blueshard sighs and climbs up upon the slab and crouches down. His mind almost seemed a war of ideas and thoughts, images from the day and from days previous. His eyes scanned the now darkened clearing, looking for anything out of the ordinary, though he didn't expect to find it.

A thin, tabby pelt weaved to the three travelers, breathing heavily. "Sorry if I'm late, I had to tend to one of my warriors. Nothing serious," He meowed, slowing to a walk. He held his tail and head high, feigning royalty.

Lakepaw gave an excited mew, bounding over to the emerald-eyed tom and nuzzled the older cat's shoulder. "Emeraldeye! Its sooo great to see you again- Ooo guess what?!" He backed down and stared up at the Frostclan medicine cat with his big, glittering eyes.

Epicstep chuckled and slowly made his way to his apprentice and his Frostclan friend. "Greetings Emeraldeye. I'm glad things went well." He aslo wore a warm smile, as he usually did- Epicstep was never the type to be of any sorts of mad.

"I've missed you two," Emeraldeye meowed warmly, nuzzling Lakepaw. "What is it that you want to tell me?" He mewed to Lakepaw, chuckling, "You look like you're ready to leap out of your fur."

"Epicstep was given the same dream as me- Starclan told us both that I'm ready for my full name!" Now that the smaller tom stood beneath the moon, it could be easily seen that he was quite more matured than the rest of normal apprentices, already past the age of 11 moons.

Epicstep was beaming proudly.

"That's great! It's been a bit since I've heard a Medicine Cat ceremony. I'm starting to forget the words," Emeraldeye mewed with a warm chuckle. His eyes shone-he could speak so much more freely around other medicine cats than his clanmates. It was a strange position to have more freedom against enemies than friends.
