Thornpaw's Day Off

Ice nodded with a grin at his mentor before turning to the she-cat. "I'm Ice of the Feather, but just call me Ice." His tone was friendly, and he kept his claws sheathed.

Copper sighed. "Hello Pandora. Are you lost?" She asked. She stepped forward, though Trinity was the oldest and the shaman Copper was the better cat to take the lead in this situation. Unlike Trinity she was trained for this as well as battle.

Trinity smiled at the nervous looking cat. "I see....I see...", she began to mumble under her breath.

Thornpaw glanced up at the arrival of three cats. Two of them had the obvious smell of the resistance about them, while the third's scent he couldn't identify. He marked out the two resistance cats as the shamans, the older one being the esteemed, and some cats thought slightly crazed, Trinity. While the younger one was her kind apprentice Ice.

Ice sat down. His reddish-orange gaze kept flicking between the cats who weren't part of the Resistance. His white fur almost glowed in the weak light, since he was still partially in the shadows, but was broken by the dark gray rings that were around his neck, paws, and down his tail.

"N-no... I- I live here." She stammered, then cleared her throat as she realized the cats weren't going to hurt her. "Well... not here exactly. Where the forest meets the Alleys. I can hunt in the forest but stay in the Alleys..." She said softly, bright eyes scanning. "You guys smell weird. Are you from some special group or s-something?"

"We are of the Resistance." Copper meowed, grouping the clan cats in with her cats was the easiest way to go about it. "You have heard of us, yes?" She asked.

"OH!" Pandora perked up. "You're those cats that fight for the Alleys, right? I think so. Hm. Wow! I've never met a Resistance cat before!" She seemed genuinely excited now.

Ivypaw looked around at all the strange faces. "Thornpaw, who are these cats?", she whispered to the tom.

Ice tilted his head slightly. If she can hunt in the forest, then why doesn't she just live there? I bet it'd be a lot safer for her... Then his ears twitched at Ivypaw's voice. He turned to her, and, still in a friendly tone, meowed, "You could just ask us ourselves. And I want to know the same thing, anyway."

(I am totally pissed right now. I was working on the old Frostclan pages, and all of the sudden, my computer shut down! I hadn't saved for about 20 pages, and now I have to do then over. >.<)

"Yes that is us, and now you have met us. I would like to stay longer but me and mine are searching for a lost friend and can not delay." Copper meowed. She stayed clam though she was itching to be off.

"Their the resistance cats, I'll explain later." Thornpaw whispered back, with a chuckle at Ice.

(( wow. That sucks )

"I am I-ivypaw.", she said, nervously. "A F-rostclan apprentice."

"Maybe I can help..." Pandora said hopefully, eyes twinkling with excitement. "I have a few friends, too. Ryan, Eragorn!" Her voice hung in the air for a minute, then the sounds of cats approaching filled the air. Two large cats, one smaller than the other (but still big) approached happily. Pandora seemed dwarfed compared to them.

Copper tipped her head. "I suppose...." She trailed off, thinking quickly. "Trinity, can you please take care of these cats. Tell them about Mercury. Thornpaw, Ivypaw and Ice come with me." She meowed flicking her tail.

Thornpaw jumped away on top of a a large shiny can, he jumped from there to a metal platform and glanced down at the cats.

Pandora laughed happily, running in circles around her two friends. They were obviously protective of the she-cat, but seemed friendly. Their tails flicked back and forth absentmindedly. As matter of fact, their minds were probably ALWAYS absent.

Ice smiled at Ivypaw. "Frostclan, huh? What's that?" He nodded to Copper. "If you didn't already hear, you can call me Ice."

Ivypaw blushed at his friendliness. "Frostclan is......" she looked at Thornpaw, as if asking if she could tell him about it.

Pandora was still doing her dance, supposedly paying no attention to the other cats. One of the big cats, Ryan, was playing with her, while Eragorn watched, whiskers twitching happily. He was the biggest of the two, and the dumbest.

Thornpaw raised an eyebrow at Ivy from above. Wondering why she was asking him? He trusted Ice, after all he was a resistance cat. Then with a glance at Pandora, he looked back down at Ivy and shook his head.

Ice followed Ivypaw's gaze. His reddish orange eyes reflected his disappointment when Thornpaw shook his head. Then he looked back at Ivypaw.

"Trinity, I'll leave these cats to you." Copper meowed dipping her head respectfully to the she-cat. "Come on you three." She meowed. She turned and walked away, leading a winding path through the alleys to were Mercury was last seen.

Pandora twitched her tail at Eragorn, and he got up and joined the other two in their weird game of wrestling/tag/hunting practice.

Thornpaw followed Copper from the top of the roofs. He ran, glancing down at the cats, occasionally.
