Frostclan: Stay Out of the Shadows -OFFICIAL-

Spiritsong finally stopped coughing. She took the chance to finish her sentence. "I don't have the herbs to spare if one of us gets you sick." She prodded Riverpaw sharply in the side.

Pumpkin's ears pricked up at the sound of coughing. "Huh?" He dashed up to Spiritsong. "Who's coughing?" He asked, then, without an answer, he dashed off again. At least I can do something. I wasn't Autumnclan's Medicine Cat for no reason!

"Soulthunder, stop jabbing me!" Riverpaw meowed. She thought Spiritsong was Soulthunder and imagined Oceanfeather beside her. "Where did Pheasantpaw go?" she asked.

Spiritsong stared after Pumpkin with a confused look. Then she started prodding Riverpaw in the side again, more sharply. "Mouse-brain. Get your head straight!" Her voice rasped oddly from coughing.

"Spiritsong, where did Oceanfeather and Soulthunder go?" Riverpaw asked as she snapped out of her trance. She sneezed and began hacking up hairball.

Spiritsong shook her head. "Keep your mind above anything greencough usually causes. Hallucinations are annoying, huh?" She coughed a few times and turned away to lay back in her nest.

"Yeah, but they seem so real," Riverpaw meowed. "so real," she repeated with a sigh. Riverpaw had thought Pheasantpaw was really there.

"Ow! Owowowow! OW." Yelps came from Pumpkin as he ran back into camp, covered with odd-looking red bumps. "Oh dear GOD ow! I gotta get these stingers out when I'm done..." He was dragging a HUGE leaf covered in honey with him as he dashed into the Medicine Cat's den. "Don't say anything, seriously, it won't help your cough..." He dropped off the honey, and dashed out to grab rat. He chewed off the tails of a few different ones and took them all back into the den, covering them with honey. He crushed a few dried herbs and sprinkled them onto the now sweet and sticky tails, until they were covered in the coarse powder stuff.

"Oi! I need those," Spiritsong rasped, ignoring what Pumpkin said about not talking. "Don't use all of my herbs, I don't want to be stuck the rest of leaf-bare without any!" She started coughing again and sat down in her nest with a quiet thump.

"You shut up." Snarled Pumpkin with ferocity he only showed when he was doing his job. "I'm not as useless as I seem, now here, put these in your mouth and suck on them." He nudged the rat tails towards the sick cats. "And not a peep, or I'll get Giusepi in here and see how you'll listen to his claws."

Spiritsong hissed. It hurt her throat, but she didn't care. "Don't you dare threaten me!" She turned her back to him. "I'm not touching anything until the rest of the injured cats get something to help them," she rasped stubbornly. "And you can't force me to do otherwise."

Riverpaw nodded at the fat tom. She began sucking on the rat tail, enjoying the sweet honey.

Pumpkin rolled his eyes. "I'll tend to the injured, you go ahead and take care of yourself. It won't be good for the clan's Medicine Cat to kill herself." He padded over to check the others' injuries.

Spiritsong growled. "Whatever. But you might want to treat Thunderkit and Coalkit first. They both have whitecough. It's mild at the mo-" She broke off with a cough, then continued. "at the moment, but it could get worse fast. They are only kits, after all." She stood up and turned around. "And have you seen Smolderstar around? I want him to use some of the tansy I have left."

Pumpkin nodded and headed over to Coalkit and Thunderkit. "Alrighty..." He nudged two rats' tails towards the two kits. "Suck on these, it will make your throat feel better. Plus, it tastes good."

Thunderkit opened his eyes a fraction. He stared at Pumpkin for a moment before reaching forward with one dark brown paw and tugging the rat's tail toward him.

Spiritsong watched silently. Now where is that Smolderstar? She glanced at the remaining pile of tansy.

Smolderstar barged into the Medicine Cat's den. "Have you seen Jewelpaw?" He asked.

Spiritsong glared at him. "Could you be any louder? I have sick cats trying to sleep in here!" Her voice was rasping worse than ever. "Before I answer your question, I want you to eat this." She shoved some tansy at him.

Smolderstar ate it and repeated his question angrily. "Where'd she go?" His tail twitched angrily.

"Calm down," Spiritsong grumbled. "Last I saw her, she was in the nursery with Sparrowkit because Petalmist left him on his own."

Jewelpaw was blinking awake, still in the dark den. She caught Smolderstar's scent and sighed. I can't go train if Petalmist isn't here to watch Sparrowkit. And with Shinepaw being sick and out in the forest, there's no one else to watch him except for Stoneclaw. She grumbled and stood up, sweeping moss over Sparrowkit to keep him warm. She walked out and stretched, her silverly gaze caught Smolderstar's fiery eyes.

Sparrowkit felt Jewelpaw leave. He began mewling loudly, he was very hungry.

Stoneclaw grunted as he saw Jewelpaw leave the nursery. where is Petalmist?! he thought.

(I am bored of Sparrowkit being all blind.. when can he open his eyes?)

Foxtail sighed. She padded over to Jewelpaw and meowed, "I can keep an eye on him for now. I may not be related to him, but at least I know how to care for a kit..." She flicked her ginger tail and stuck her head into the nursery.

Moonpelt yawned. She let out a little sneeze and padded around her nest, in circles. being sick is so boring.. she thought.

Rosethorn padded into the nursery with bits of rabbit fur wrapped in a leaf. She was startled to find Petalmist was gone. She quickly padded over to Sparrowkit and wrapped herself around him. Her kits where only just starting to be weaned and she hadn't started eating parsley(stops milk) so she had milk left. "Shhhh, little one, it's ok, I'm here."
